There is a sticky in the help & hints forum about how to report to Alan. |

Just make sure you send the original scam email with full headers along with that pdf so Alan has proof. It can take one or two weeks before the bank account gets closed and sometimes they don't. So now it's a matter of delaying with your bait until you think the bank account is closed and you can slap the lad for providing an bankaccount that's not valid. Then ask for an other bank account and repeat.
eta: it's better to get your email addy out of the headers when posting on eater. |

I have forwarded the bank info to alan, but I have a question:
How do you know he actually takes accounts down? |

Alan will make something happen if he has enough evidence - see the quote in my signature!
If the Lad suddenly finds that he doesn't have access to that bank account anymore, he will usually come up with some excuse why you can no longer use it: the account holder has left the area or the country; the account holder is sick or injured, or even dead; he has had second thoughts and has found a much easier/quicker bank account for you to use, etc.
This would probably be in a week or two's time, however, so you'll want to delay the bank transfer for a bit - it could take you a week to find the time to get to the bank; and then the bank tells you it will take 6 or 7 days for the money to be transferred.
If Alan doesn't have enough evidence at the moment to do anything with that particular account, then, after two weeks or so, you can still claim that there was a problem with the Lad's account, and that the transfer you made has been returned to your own account - which you are a bit cross about, because that transfer fee you paid did not get returned to you, so you have paid a fee for nothing.....
If you are lucky, the Lad will then give you a new bank account to use .... and report to Alan! |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |
