I love Google voice. I'm sitting here sending free text messages to a few lads over and over again asking them to call me back and that it is urgent.
I figure I'm waking them up, wasting their time and cell minutes and entertaining myself listening to the messages when they call back. "please don't call me again, i'll call you tomorrow."etc.
Makes a boring Friday night at home a little better... |

Doesn't cost a penny. I'm in the US. All calls made in the US are free. Text anywhere in the world from your computer for free.
When someone calls your google number, it can go to a voicemail where their message is recorded and transcribed and sent to your gmail account or sent as a text to your mobile.
Google is still slowly releasing invites but I have few. Check it out at www.google.com/googlevoice/about.html

You can set up GV with your phone, then disable it so all the calls go straight to voicemail, or specify which numbers calling you get through. |
