I happened to stumble upon 419 and the wonderful delicious flavor of retribution that you serve a little bit ago, when I got a new 'private' email address and found that it was full of spammers before I even used it!

SIGH.

Anyway, this is my little good deed to the world, harassing and wasting the time of these scammers is helping to bring just a little bit more laughter into the world.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a few lads soon, but until then, wish me luck!

Picking up lads is really easy. Just Google "guyman+guestbook+2009". Have a quick read of the site that the guestbook is on (out of courtesy) and leave a nice note along with your email address.

Before you know it, you'll be rolling in mugu heaven. Wink

I do have a question - in a lot of these Safari logs and other hijinks I've noticed that many of us work with 'colleagues' and establish multiple people to contact.

...I'm not sure how that is beneficial. Would that only come into play once the lad starts making physical phone calls?

EDIT - Sharp eye, sunshine! It is indeed a furry avatar. I haven't met many people who recognize that.

Multiple people are indeed useful when the 'first' baiter doesn't want to do phonecalls, but slowly bringing in new characters might also add believability. Look at what the lads do, you can hardly go 2 weeks in a NOK/Trunkbox-scam without the lad bringing in a manager from either the trunkbox-company or the bank.

It can also help you to pick up little tricks. I relied a lot on massbaits to learn me proper when I started out.

That and my brilliant mentor, of course.

What methods are there to take calls from lads anonymously? I have a Google Voice number, but I use that as my main phone number and just a little bit of research connects that number directly to me.

What other options are there? I could dust off my old blue box, but something tells me that wouldn't be too helpful any more. Wink

Other than Google Voice which you say you already have, you can use IPKall and synch it up with Gizmo5.

Just as the lads use multiple charachters in their scams sometimes it helps to have multiple charachters in baits - you can run the other charachters yourself but sometimes it's more fun and useful to team up with other baiters as some baiters are better (or able) at taking and making phone calls for example.

Just as in the "help, hints and tips" section if you need a hand with a bait - we're a friendly bunch (especially a certain squirrel who has just been made a mod so I need to take back what I said earlier about him Laughing
