My lad (or lass, as he would have me to believe) gave me some bank account details.
Thing is, I am not far into this bait, and I wonder if he gave me someone else's real bank info to test the waters. Would a scammer do this?

Does he actually expect you to pay any money into it? If so, it's real.
EDIT: Replied before I fully read it... This is a very standard way to introduce a bank manager character. This person will 'help you get your funds' and conveniently introduce fees along the way. |

When the lad is very obvious in his mistakes, do not point this out to him. These mistakes could make a genuine vic suspicious of him and cost the lad some money. Praise the lad for being stupid, slap him for the intelligent stuff he pulls out of his ass every once in a while. |
