Help needed for Documentary on Scambaiting

Hi there

I am looking for scambaiters in the uk who are willing to do phone interviews and assist in a 30 min documentary I am doing for my final project at Leeds University.

Obviously privacy is a huge issue here and I will be happy to answer any questions by PM. I would be grateful if anyone in the west yorkshire surrounding area who is willing to share their scambaiting experiences, (no real names nececcary and no real identities will be revealed). Or even if you have fallen victim to a scam in the past hence getting into scambaiting.

Just a suggestion - maybe to save cash and still get the interview/s - use other students (actors) to "stand-in" delivering the stories supplied by baiters/warners/vics themselves; could also do prearranged question/answer sessions.

We are a couple that bait together, although I (Mike) do most of the work.

Everyone, I am working with the original poster to establish her bona fides. I currently have no reason to doubt her integrity and intentions, and her language and understanding of the nature of the endeavour, etc, are all fully consistent so far. I will let you know what we find, but to reiterate we are establishing her bona fides and I will report back.

In the meantime, feel free to form your own opinions of whether you'd like to help should the original poster authenticate herself suitably. Personally, I'd like to be involved.

We do get journalists come through here on a regular basis and students as well, any reporting of our actions has potential to get the word out about scammers and make their scamming harder.

We, as baiters learn how to safely play with criminals, I am sure that it will not be a problem to show the OP some courtesy to answer some questions.

I would recommend anybody discussing baiting with her to keep their anonymity until they can be sure of who she is and her intentions. From my own investigations, I can tell you she is in fact from the area she says she is and so far I have no reason to doubt what she has said.

Nobody is suggesting we all need to bow and comply with what she wants from us, but for the sake of the good that can come from this report and documentary, pleae keep the comments civil Wink
