I don't get it.... I found all the info I posted here, on these forums. How is my posting it here any different from the guy who posted it originally? How else would you have me lead this poster to this site? I just don't get what I did wrong or what I'm supposed to do?

Wherever you found it, it was masked, obfuscated or behind a login. That is, it was "ungooglable". Your post, however, is.

Now please take some action. There's nothing I hate more than losing a huge bait when a lad gives me a URL to a post on this site explaining how the modalities are used. It's annoying and, quite frankly, shows a great degree of irresponsibility.

Wow you are quite arrogant! Obviously I am new to this forum. I read if not ALL the stickies almost ALL the stickies. It was not disguised in any way when I found it in the creators thread. I thought all of the forum areas needed a login to be accessed. I suggest you recommend this point be adressed to the mods so it can be put in a place where noobs with good intentions will find it. Maybe you should try insulting them too, for not haveing it posted in an appropriate place! It's A'holes like you that chase noobs from forums like this! Almost makes me want to become your own personal badger! Have a wonderfull day! Rolling Eyes

The thread started by the OP asking a question and you hijacked the thread just to chip at Nickthecop. That is not cool and border lining trolling.

I actually think he had posted some useful input or the OP, but just didn’t obscure it. It’s a bit of a nightmare at first but you get used to it, don’t want lads Google’n you and finding out your chopping there dollar and not one of your made up characters! Takes the fun out of chop chopping! Very Happy

If you don’t know what Nick meant by obscuring, he means doing this to Google sensitive words.

S3cur1ty Sh13ld - that’s a name of a baiting tool.

I am fairly new myself, but you would do this for, baiter names on emails, lad names, lad/baiter email addresses, baiter websites and baiter tools. in short, anything that you don’t want the lad to put in Google and find from the content of your emails.

Some forums are safe behind a login. But Main Scam baiting and General is not.

Fake banks and Eater-U however are.

I hope my input somehow helps, But I'm sure a more knowledgeable user could better explain.

Moose Head is right it is SO easy to forget to 'obfuscate' (loves new words) ones own baits and get accused of reporting and posting and getting death threats from lads for your mistake.

Somehow to spoil a bait for another baiter is even worse.

I have been practicing setting out the whole post in a 'rich text doc' and then applying the wonder ful copy/replace etc tool zapping in the quote things with C&P and then the /quote things in the same way.

I've used the WU receipt generator before, when the scam was at the NOK stage, and of course Yura messed up the name of the secretary. 1an seemed to forget all about it once he realized he was in love with his "heartbeat".

So this is the second money I have to send to him and I'm pretty sure he's going to be quite avid to get this large sum. I'm afraid if I use similiar excuses (hurt my leg, car broke down, wrong name) he'll disappear.

Perhaps a tree should fall on my house? A lengthy and stressful event that will delay my little trip to WU.

I tried to find some forms on the Eat3r U., but there's quite a few dead links there...

A little aside: You know I was actually having a twinge of guilt about all these lies I tell and leading someone on this way BUT then I thought - "I could actually be the naive, hopeful, fearful, terribly lonely and still grieving widow that I'm playing and sending all this money to "1an", who would take every cent I have without a qualm."

Poof! No more guilt! Very Happy

I figure while he's sending me 85 emails and searching for sappy poems, inspirational text and smarmy soft porn passages, he's leaving a real victim alone.

Last time my character went to Western Union, she found that there was a new anti-fraud ruling that money could now only be sent to West Africa by relatives. She wasn't sure whether that was just a rule at her local WU, or nationwide. Bit of a problem, though.

So could she send the money by wire transfer instead? Did the Lad have a bank account she could send it to? Or maybe a trusted friend who could lend his?

It worked nicely. Real bank account details to send to Alan. A week's delay while the money was er... being transferred. And then, when it didn't show up, back to the bank to enquire what had gone wrong. And it was 'rejected by the receiving account'. Why? Were they overdrawn? She could try again ... or was there another better bank account she could use......?

Meanwhile, while the first transfer is going through, a few 'minor' problems can occur. Just mentioned in passing, while whistling with hands in pockets, etc. Car failing to start. Need to get the carpet cleaners/floor waxers in. Making a dental appointment. Fence blew down in the wind. Thinking of employing a daily cleaner or weekly gardener. All little things that can prevent one from returning to the bank for a few days. Then a few days more. Not new things. Already mentioned things. Such is life.

@ Devil Woman...I WAS thinking of having Yura's contractor who is working on her kitchen become smitten with her, and then send ol' 1an a nasty "keep off" email or ask him to be a partner in ripping off Yura.

Branwen, the wire transfer to a bank account sounds perfect. I think 1an could trust me enough by now to do it. After Yura's last bad experience with WU, I think she prefers to do it this way.
