China Scammers - New source of baiting??

Anyone here ever bait Chinese exporters? Here's the skinny - as you know China is booming with manufacturing and exports. There are several sites on the internet that lists these companies. Sites like made-in-china.com, ec21.com, alibaba.com. Most of the people listed on these sites are fakes. They advertise name brand merchandise (Dell, Apple, Nikon, etc.) at cheap prices. Of course they want you to wire them money via Western Union...and many people do....and they never ship products. The forums on these sites are filed with scam stories.

I have decided to have some fun and bait some of these idiots. Has anyone else here baited these guys? I'm going to apply the same tactics as a 419 scam.

Just for fun register at Alibaba.com and post a Buying lead saying you want to buy 10 iPods. You'll be bombarded by emails - most from gmail and hotmail accounts.

I get plently of chinesse formats in my catcher, and a lot of them do resolve to China, so it's nothing new, but that doesn't mean that you can't have fun with them Smile

Is it a scam or spam? I wonder after baiting a merchant ship broker for four weeks. Maybe they are trying to sell me a used tugboat and freighter. I could not decide so I ended up just dropping them.
