If your lad is using Gmail, do not respond for a few days, then tell your lad that for some reason all Gmail is going to your spam folder and being deleted so you're not getting any of the emails. If you're using Gmail yourself then say that it's still going to the spam folder as Gmail thinks the email has questionable content.

Request he change to something normal like yahoo. Then you'll have your IP. Works a treat. Smile

If you do a google search you will find out it's close to a skyscraper on 99 Bishopsgate. It could be an office building. It looks like this address has not been used for scams before.
And i like your avatar Very Happy

That is what I found too (not in the UK though). Looks like a made up Shocked address to try to give credibility (like we do).

Ana, know that your scammer will not give you a real address. He won't want you to send anything there. He will want things sent by WU or MG.

Don't let him know that you know. Wink

Way to keep him on the hook. Now to reel him in a bit more...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Edited to add (thanks to Branwen)
I meant to say I am not in the UK.
I meant to say that 104 is not a searchable address/company. It would exist (at least on paper) in the property numbering system.
I meant to say, your lad is not at the 104 address.
I meant to say, your lad will not give you his actual address as he does not want you to send anything to him. He just wants money sent to him in an untracable and sure way like WU/MG.
104 Bishopsgate may well exist. The street numbering convention should run 102, 104, 106 for that side of the road.
102 Bishopsgate appears to be owned by Great Portland Estates:
http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200506/cmbills/001/168.pdf
The right hand box on this site:
http://www.eastlondonblitz.com/ecomuseumeastlondon.html
includes the (grammatically incorrect) words:
Quote:
the City of London Theatre, which ghosts is today embedded inside the 102 Bishopsgate Skyscraper
And 106 Bishopsgate is a travel agents:
http://www.thelocalweb.net/index/TAG/tlw_524271.htm
So, in between them, should be 104.
The "barrister" of Mugu Walla answered my drug question:
And, at the same time, mugu Walla sent me that:
Obviously, i told to the "barrister" what his client wrote me about the drugs...
@The Vamp Thank you! Very Happy Razz
@Paranoid @Branwen Do you think is a good idea tell him when the WU thing come that i have a friend living near his office and he can give him the payment? Or tell him in an innocent way that i went to his address and theres nothing like a lawyer office in there?
The next step to do is what NN told me. Thanks for helping me.
I think that if you tell the Lad that you (or your friends) know that area, know that address, then there is an increased risk of the Lad dropping you.
He doesn't want to put the time into someone who might easily discover that he is lying, and that the whole thing is a scam.
If you want a bit of fun with the address, though, you could tell him that you were unable to get to the Western Union, so you have put a cheque in the post to him.
That will show him that you are willing to send money. He will also have to come up with some excuses about why he cannot accept a cheque, and persuade you to cancel it. Therefore you can waste another few days going to your bank and cancelling the cheque, and having to pay a fee to do that, and moaning about it, and wanting to make sure that the cheque has indeed been cancelled before you make the payment again.
The lad and "his" barrister sent me an explanation about the drug thing. Totally way off script. Is not that much, but makes me happy. Very Happy Razz
That's interesting, this lad is doing multiple kinds of scams.
I just got a fake check scam heading my way, cash the check, pay the barrister's fees Wink
For every hundred thousand people who try to scam you'll get one badger, 'tis the way of things.
My guess is that this was originally a baiter letter, sent out en mass to known lad addresses. But then is was adopted by this new-ish lad who thinks he can use just it for his format, improvising from the second letter on. That should make him fun for people who take pleasure in getting the lad off script early in the game.
On the Badger/Lad question, I think that sometimes lads themselves can turn a little badgerish even if they don't mean to. Think of it this way: Being a scammer has got to be a pretty tedious, boring job. If you've ever had a job like telemarketting, you know what they are going through. Anyone weird or funny our out of the ordinary is going to stand out, be potential entertainment for you, a potential story to tell your friends, even if they are giving you problems.
I'm pretty much strictly a straight baiter these days, attempting to be as tedious and time-wasting as possible to the lads. However, consider this recent exchange I've had with an ongoing bait (ongoing for 100+ emails at the moment and very convoluted). The story at this point, he needs a diamond cutter (I told you it was convoluted) and of course some cash. I've insisted on mailing it to him.
Me:
Quote:
Dear ---------
Well, as you recall from the photo I sent you, I very cleverly labeled the package "Do not steal! No Money or Diamond Cutters Inside This Package!"
I thought it was a very clever way to convince anyone that the package was worthless, and should not be opened or inspect.
If you can believe it, when I handed the package to the lady at the post office, she laughed at me! She was so rude! She said "If it's not money or a diamond cutter, then what IS in the package?" Well, I am a very bad liar, and I couldn't think of anything good to say for a moment. Finally I blurted out, "It's meat. Lunch meat for the starving people of Africa."
I thought this was a pretty good lie, but she just widened her eyes. Then she reached under the counter and put a big orange sticker on the package that said "USDA Agricultural Product Inspection Notice" or something like that. Are you familiar with these orange stickers in your country?
Anyway, aside from that, it was just fine. It cost quite a few dollars to mail this to you, so I hope it comes ok. The package should look just like the photo I sent you, except there is now an orange sticker like I described, stamps, and a white bar code sticker that the lady stuck on the envelope.
-------------
PS: I accidentally sent an email to ---------- thinking I was just sending it to you. I think I upset him. Can you please tell him I'm sorry if I upset him?
His reply:
Quote:
Sir, that was really funny, i have spoken to ------- and i let him know, that is not what he thinks tha is what you intended saying he was very angry but, after talking to him he told me it is ok now that he is no more angry, i told him that you have already posted the parcel, and that you told me that it will take maximum of 10 working days to get here,
so that is it for now i will talk to you again as we wait for the parcel. thank for your support i really appriciate.
--------.
When I read him saying "that was really funny", that might have set off a Badger alarm, but honestly I think this is just a lad who is happy for something other than the tedium of his normal routine.
It also made me realize I got a little too silly, and need to tone it down to keep the straight bait going.
Sorry for the long post.
I'm new here, but I'm not new to baiting.
