Might need some experienced help on a bait - checks?

I've been baiting this guy for a little while, and he wants me to "process payments". I have a feeling that he's probably going to just send me a fake check, but on the off chance that we're dealing with real victims, I thought I would play it out a little more.

Anyone more senior than I that has a drop box want to help me out on this one? He's particularly agressive. Once I contacted the "payment representative", I got this:

FULL MAILING ADDRESS CITY AND STATE ZIP CODE.................

I asked how the transfer was going to work, and he replied with this:

Once you have the funds will let you know what to do with it.

The other interesting part about this is that he seems to have a US number. I haven't investigated if its just a forwarded VOIP number or what, but it makes it interesting at least.

Any tips?

if you're just looking to have him send the checks, make up an address but please don't use a real entity/person.

I'd suggest some kind of forwarding. 905 is in the suburbs of the GTA (Greater Toronto Area)

Check lads are a lot of fun when you get to the payment stage. If you use a fake address, you can lie and say you got it a few days later. The fun comes from the fun excuses you can come up with regarding delays to sending the payment. Then drop a bomb and tell him you went to the casino and lost it all at the blackjack table. Whoops, send another check and you'll pay this time Wink

I do not know if this is a good idea or not, but an interesting address to give him would be the FBI headquarters in DC. Or the Mounted Police HQ!!!

I know it would technically violate the "you dont own it, you dont use it" rule, but I cant for a secound see a lad attacking that place!

/\/\/\ Not a good idea at all. Law enforcement have plenty to deal with as it is without baiters having their lads send fake checks to them.

Observation FWIW - he uses the word "cheque" and "check" Question

To have any chance of getting the original document from the lad you will need access to a drop box, so premium membership it is.

Bear in mind that even handling a fake check/cheque or money order is a Federal offense in the USA.
