I think getting the scams from surplus is a bad idea, as is posting the address in this thread. Disappearing lads are a minor inconvenience for normal baiting, but a big pain in the a** in this competition.

My personal Inbox gets several scam mails a day. That's what you get when your address has been spoofed by a virus. However I don't sign guestbooks, so it is as unrelated to any baiters as it is possible to be. If this next lad disappears, what say I post up a format here and PM the address to the contestants?

I think, based on the last one, getting the lad from a private source is a very good idea. Lads from surplus tend to be overworked by baiters, and their addresses get exploded pretty quickly too.

I know the first lad Branwen and I were using had at least 4 baiters on him at once. Then his address got killed, and we switched to a new lad who had about 6 baiters on him by my count, and his address got killed as well.

Also, is this another "dry run" effectively? I was planning to organise an 8-baiter tournament soonish, but I don't want to overlap with this.

Also also, vote for me. Very Happy

EDIT: I've just checked El Sid's links, and it looks like this guy is being baited by about 20 different people already, AND he's been baited before. I'll be surprised if either of you get more than one or two emails out of him in the 2 weeks!

There's a fresh(ish) email in my inbox at the moment, and the source address, reply-to address, phone number and message text are all conspicuous by their lack of google results. The lad's using a name which has been used in scams before, but not using the same format. I think there's a good chance this lad isn't currently being baited with this format, although that's not to say he's definitely a newbie! It's not a particularly exciting format though- Gold Sale- so you might prefer a lad picked from El Sid's massive collection if you're planning to straight-bait.

I'm waiting for a PM of agreement from a competitor before I post/PM the details.

EDIT: Lakefield_Dave is up for it, waiting for a reply from Dutchrocket...
