If i register a usps po box at my local post office. will anything ever get back to me if i give that p.o box to a lad?

To open a USPS P.O. Box requires an ID, with your real life information. Someone would need a court order, or an administrative subpoena, to get the information. The chances that a lad could obtain one of those is remote, but possible.

Just to be complete, (well 2/600+ anyway)

The UK is different. The Post Office will give out your name and address to anyone that asks.

Yes that is true, but it has to be put in writting.

I doubt a lad would go to the hassle of writting a letter to the UK PO just to get your real life details.
