In almost every straight bait I've done, I've set my main character living in England, and in amongst all the usual chitchat to see if I can get some off-script diversions, I'll throw in silly made-up stuff about the geography of the country, the legal system, needing a passport to travel to Scotland, and so on. If even one of those misfacts creeps into a lad's future backstory and clues a potential victim in, I'm happy. |
