question on accidentally received fax

Today I received 3 faxes at my K7 number. The number is only registered last week and I gave it out so far to 3 lads. The strange thing is that these faxes are not related to any of my baits. The first one starts with the page you can see below, with a 31 page medical report of Thomas Laury following. The second en third fax are similar reports, also of Thomas Laury. They are send from the number written on the page, 708-335-0363.

I have googled this number and found a page on Lanita Handy, which according to the note is also the sender. That page shows also an address in Hazel Crest (IL). The medical report is from the advocate south suburban hospital, which is also located in Hazel Crest.

Now my question, is this fax accidentally send to the wrong number? Or is this part of a scam in progress and did the lad mess up the numbers? To me it looks like the first, but it's quite coincedental that a fax is send to my number by mistake. And also the note is not quite a note I would attach to a fax, addressing the person with attention: *name* seems something only lads would do. Since you have more knowledge on scams, I ask you guys, what do you think? If it is part of some scam, maybe we could warn the victim somehow.

K7 re-assigns numbers almost as soon as they're relinquished by the previous holder. It's very probably a fax sent to a number that has for some reason been changed, and the hospital still has the old number.

Since you know the hospital and the person who sent the faxes, I'd make a quick call to them and alert them that the faxes did not get where they were intended to go. Then destroy the copies that came to you - they are someone's private medical information.

What Titania said. Contact the sender and advise them that they are sending to the wrong number.

I work in the medial sphere so it is legit then they really need to know about it. Data protection etc, they'll probably need to do an internal investigation of some description.

Probably a good idea to remove the scans from this thread too, just for the sake of privacy and respect.
