I got an idea from reading these forums.

I had been working with somebody who wanted me to send him $1,200 to cover visa and other expenses and start working in London. After a while he finally figured out he wasn’t getting any money from me. He even checked with the Gallery Hotel in London and verified that Virgil Sollozzo wasn’t an employee like I said. Well it’s true, Michael Corleone shot him and Captain McCluskey in Louis Restaurant in the Bronx.

Now I’m going to ask him to run that scam on somebody I know. I’ve offered to even re-write his letters which I’ll make really stupid including actually stating it’s a scam and help him write the replies to this person I know. He’s then going to give me 50% of the money we get from the guy I know.

Of course, I’ll be both people.

And like I said, the letters are actually going to include the fact that the letter is a scam. I don’t want him using it on somebody who might believe them…

I suggest that you run the letter past us in the Help and Tips area (behind a login) - Lad de-education is a fine art and I'd like to learn about it too!

The only problem that I can foresee is that when the other scam (using your letter) falls through, the de-education might lapse.

I had planned on doing just that, running the letter past some experts before giving it to him. Like I said, the last thing I want to do is give him more ammunition.

But, there seems to be a problem. First, the lad replied but is still sticking to the story that he’s hiring for the hotel. I’ve already told him I know he’s not. Next he wants me to contact the “friend”. I told him I can’t, that if I do the “friend” will know something is wrong because we don’t like each other.

The last thing he said that got me thinking is that I offered a 50/50 split of anything the “friend” sent. He came back saying he could only pay me 30% because the rest goes to the organization.

I asked him to explain who the organization is…

But, no reply as of yet…

He took the bait but he’s going to use his own letter. He thinks I’m setting somebody up for a scam. The lad (I still have problems getting used to that term) is sending a letter to “Moe Green” offering him a job in a casino in London. He’ll ask Moe Green to wire money up front for visa application and other fees. Then the lad and I are to split the money.

I wonder how long I’m going to be able to play both parts without the lad figuring out.

You can likely get away with it pretty well depending on how you play it. He won't be expecting it. I have played numerous characters for the same lad which he's believed to the extent of tattling on one to the other. Laughing
