So I used to think I was pretty smart when it came to buying/paying online. But I paid found some products I really liked and at good prices on a website. I got an e-mail with a quote from someone who claimed to own the website. So I paid him $400 using western union. And now...no products! =( I have been emailing him but no response.
Does anyone have any ideas on how 'scare' him into sending me my money back, or teach him a little lesson???? Please help! |

I hate to break it to you, but you have no hope of getting your money back, ufortunately.
Our sister site, ScamWarners.com deals with victims, rather than baiting them.
It's not a good idea to begin baiting so soon after being a victim.

Welcome to Eater, just sorry it's through being a victim.
As Craig says, recovery of your money is impossible. WU is the scammers best friend, and he will have grabbed the money and crawled back under his stone to await the next victim.
Identifying him will be impossible as he will have used fake details.
I would ask that you visit our sister site, link at the top of the page, register and post as much detail of the scam as possible. Blank out your real life details though. This will help warn others of these scams and hopefully someone will learn from your story.
Really sorry, but that is about all you can do for now.
Take a bit of time, and then if you want, you will be welcome to join us in baiting these scum. There are members here who specialise in baiting "lads" from auction sites and they will be able to help you if you so decide. |

Welcome to Eater 'lil. Sorry to hear that you lost out to a scammer. Some people think the scammers only use the usual trunkbox modality but as you learned they can also use some pretty convincing tactics. Hopefully by sharing your story at ScamWarners you can help someone who may happen to google the site. |

Hi lillucky0ne. I'm sorry to hear you were a victim to a scam. As others have said, there is no chance to get your money back. Do post the information about the website here as we may be able to get it shut down. |

Sorry you got scammed. Post up details of the website. If it is defo not legit, then there are people here who can deal with it. Your $400 is gone, sorry.As for scaring him into sending it back, he has your real life details presumably. therefore, that is a no-no. |
