in my early baits, i wasn't aware sites like this existed. i was just doing it as i felt it was a way for me to get a little, well hopefully a lot, of scammers to have their time severely wasted, due to a friend losing nearly $3,000. i, unfortunately, used my actual personal information in about 3 or 4 baits. what can happen, i mean full name, address of my apartment complex, not the actual door number. none of the baits were to severe, most involved me not cashing the bad checks i received. thanks guys!

The scammer will probably never use your personnal informations against you. Moreover if the baits were gentle, he has no reason to "track" you.

But if you sent him copies of your real passport or something, he will use them against other victims. That's why we NEVER send to lads something they could re-use for their business.

The only advice now is to stop all the contacts you could have with a scammer who has your real informations. Simply stop reply to e-mails and eventually phone calls, and they will drop you.

alright, thanks for getting back to me so quickly. has anyone you know, or have you heard of anyone being tracked down? it wasnt passports or anything, just name and address minus the door number. i didnt offend anyone too badly, so i'm not worried. i find it hard to believe, even if a scammer jumped through hurdles that he would try and track someone down. although, the guy who got the chest tattoo might be pretty pissed. lol, good job on that Wink

It's effectively not very likely, but the risk is not worth it ...

Note also that we do not encourage too much to bait someone that scammed yourself or a friend. You're emotionally involved in this case.

But there are one or 200 tons of lads waiting for you out there, if you decide to stick here and give it a try Wink

There is no profit for the lad in hunting you down for a couple of fake checks, which didnt cost a lot anyway.

On the other hand, if you'd tattooed and safari'd him......... Wink
