I HATE scamming pricks that flood my email every time I try to sell something on craigslist and they want to me to send the package to West Africa.

Anyways, I want to mess with them. I found this forum through another forum's post. You guys are brilliant!

Here is a recent email I got after posting an ad to sell a couple of computer parts on craigslist..please tell me if you see any potential!

From: rodney fredy <[email protected]> (two first names FTW)
To: Me

compliment of the season...
Am Mr Rodney Fredy FROM UNITED STATE OF AMERICA (USA) and am highly interested in your item, and i want to know if its still available for sale and get back to me with the present condition and with your prefered mode of payment...

First, make sure you are baiting safe. Use a completely untraceable e-mail address (fastmail or gmail for example). Use totally bogus details.

Your first response should be very short "I am interested. Tell me more".

From that point, I suggest you portray a somewhat dim-witted but interested victim. Play it straight and don't try anything cute on your first bait. Keep it simple. Ask the mugu questions of the sort that a real victim would ask.
