So far, I've sent a total of 5 emails to 3 scammers, and all these have, thus far, gone to waste. I sent 2 impatient emails to the 2 scammers who, originally, produced no bouce-backs, but upon sending these secondary messages I have had bounce-backs from both accounts.
Admittedly, my characters are quite good and hold alot of potential fun. It's just ashame I keep getting bounce-backs before I can begin a bait.
So, I was just wondering, how many bounce-backs did you recieve preceding your first official bait?
NB: The first message I sent has not recieved a reply since it was sent on June the 6th, so either this is a lazy lad, or more likely the address has become inactive just after recieving my reply. Why do their email accounts close so soon?
Also, one of the emails which bouced back was directed at an email the scammer provided me with in the message, probably the account where he/she preferred to carry out the scamming proccess. |

I am not sure what my official bounce-back rate was. But I can tell you this: Go pick up 30 - 40 lad emails from Surplus. Reply to them with a simple "I am interested. Please tell me more."
You will have plenty of lads to keep you busy. Promise. |

or, if you visit http://www.mailinator.com and ask for anita420 or bruce695, you will find a letter from a friend. open 24/7.
downside - the mails will last only for around 3 hours. than - goodbye, scammail.
upside - the more people spread the adresses, the more mail anita and bruce will receive.
and the mails are really fresh. although some will smell funny, (like jazz).
I like to use sogetthis.com following the @ . sounds nice and innocent. it point to said boxes too. |

Ok guys. I've sent a second message to the first person, and this one didn't bounce, so the lads still active. There was also another lad I emailed, who failed to reply, so really I've had no reply from numerous lads. Again this one did not bounce.
In addition to this, I've replied to around 4 other spam messages, so fingers crossed, soon I'll be undertaking my first baiting operation. |

Yeah it sounds like you've been super-unfortunate. There's always the surplus messages forum, or if you go to Google and type in "list of scammers" you can find lists of 'fresh' scammers. If you Bcc the entire list with a simple 'I'm interested' message -you'll get more bites than you know what to do with...
Have you tried the guestbook trick? That and sign up for our shuttle service (http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=145242&start=0) it'll net you some new lads come August. |

CarlisleNinnymuggins: Yes, my email's in a handful of guestbooks. It's not the catching that's the problem, it's just the process of recieving replies...
Thus, however, I have an update: I have just replied to a lad who has decided to actually engage with me after my sending of 2 messages to 'her'. Admittidely, this is a very interesting situation. Five days ago, the lad only desired a conversation - with no mention of money whatsoever. Now, five days on, I am informed out of the blue to 'send bank details for transfer', as 'she' is in a refugee camp. You'd have thought the lad would have mentioned that in the first place, seeing it's quite the detail . Also, she now randomily refers to herself as my wife, in just 2 (even one, seeing it's the first manual reply) sent messages. This should be fun...
EDIT: If any of you wish to view the ongoing bait detailed in this message, go to http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166716 |
