A couple of years ago a good friend on mine got talking to a girl on My Space - they were going to meet, they were in love, blah blah. He called me to tell me about her and also that he had given her my details as a lawyer (her name was Lisa) to help her with some UK immigration issues (about which I know nothing) - I immediately recognised it as dodgy. Next thing I know I get an email from [email protected] and he knew SO much about me (obviously from my friend). I explained to him he had been had and gave him my "real" name and "real" details. It turned out I was "married". Our correspondence continued over a number of months despite me (before having joined 419eater) flaming him and telling him I knew he was scammer from Nigeria. Eventually (and not knowing what to do with him) my "husband" emailed him and told him to back off. He has emailed a couple of times since but I ignore him.

So now I do a bit of baiting and I still had his address, I sent an asem from a fake address. We had a few lines of correspondence and he asked me where he knew me from. I responded that it was some social networking site. The response I got back was "you can't scam a scammer". OK, so my asem is not going anywhere (and to be fair, in the correspondence we had ages ago it went on for MONTHS and he never once asked for money, despite knowing I was "rich" (am I hell?!). However, given he has admitted to being a scammer although I did respond with all innocence, I reckon he is fair game. Obviously he is experienced and thinks I am scamming him.

Any takers?! I can provide a little more info (but not much).

Here is latest email header

Do you remember his name on myspace?

I wouldn't mind taking a swing at him...you can PM the name if you want, or leave it in the thread for everyone to take a swing at him Twisted Evil

that's where I cocked up - he wasn't actually ON myspace.

How he contacted me was this: My friend (male) met a female through myspace. They were "in lurve" and she was thinking about moving here from the USA (she wasn't in the USA - I persuaded him to give me her phone number and it was a Nigerian number). Anyway, as I am a lawyer, and could ostensibly help with immigration advice he (my friend) gave "her" my details and she apparently went mad! Next thing, I get emails galore from chakanory. He eventually admitted he got my details from his friend "Lisa" (this was the name of my friend's "lover").

He emailed me in my real name. That's why I didn't bait him from there, but reckon I had left it long enough now to have a pop at him from a baiting account. Clearly my "pop" didn't work - hence the "you can't scam a scammer" response.

I really would like to take this one out. He spent months emailing me although never once asked for money - but there must have been an ask coming. Trouble is, I can't risk picking that up again because my idiot friend gave him my real name (he got a massive slap, I can tell you). Either I (or preferably someone more experienced than me) needs an "in".

while it's not the same email addy, my current scammer has been emailing me since early april and still hasn't asked for cash yet. Maybe he's getting ready for the big ask.
