But still a fairly standard check fraud scam. It's all about ticking your boxes and getting thorugh your defenses. Fame and fortune from companies you know so well and are comfortable with don't ring alarm bells

^^^Yes, and they could be targeting an older more trusting 'market' knowing that many elderly people don't even have computers in order to be scammed. A very legitimate looking letter, just like one from Publishers Clearing House, would make a lot of them fall for it. Sickening Mad

I'm used to getting Readers Digest prize draw winning notifications by snail mail. Imagine my surprise when I got one by e-mail the other week! Even more surprising was it was legit (but still spam!) The only difference is I couldn't rip the e-mail into lots of little tiny pieces and throw them in the waste bin along with the other rubbish.
