I agree with what Lotta said above, it's a common ploy that scammers use, another ploy they use is where they actually get the victim to travel to Ghana for any number of reasons to do with the collection of funds, if a victim were to travel to Ghana, their life would be in danger.
Please give more details about the royal slaves part that you mentioned, have you got the initial email that they sent to you, or the email where it mentions that part about royal slaves? If so, please post it so that we can check it out, scammers often use scam email formats that have been used before, so they can sometimes be found on the internet during a search for passages of the text from the email.
Any email addresses you can post would also be handy in identifying a scammer, again, this depends on if the email addresses have been posted on the internet in regards to previous scams, but sometimes scammers will register new email addresses for each scam, so they will have no history of scams related to them, in any case, please post what emails and email addresses you have been given.
