Now Igor is bitterly disappointed by his situation. He claims he has no dime, but amazingly he's able to access the cyber cafe every few hours, recharge his phone card and even stay at the Hotel.

He called the geo-team. I put on a thick Russian accent and asked if this was Igor who had the other diamonds and wanted to ransom the geo-team back. He flipped out and claimed he had nothing to do with this team and just wanted to speak to John. After a second or two he realised what I was saying about holding the team for ransom and he said that he didn't want any trouble and hung up.

He immediately emails Davo, the company owner, and starts begging again. He accuses me of not being very nice. That makes my heart sad. I am just trying to be helpful.

Option 3: Continue to play this fantasy role and stay stuck in Odienne, and because I am super-nice, I'll 'help' him home.

Option 4: Give up and start walking home. The return trip of 900 disappointing, long, contemplative kilometres. That's 560 miles in the archaic tongue. Nice round trip of 1120 miles, plus the side trip to the Massif.

IP links to Gabon, but he's in the north of Cote d'Ivoire in Odienne. His original IP's all point to Abidjan.

I love the fact he misspelled my company name and thinks I work for HAMAS. Sure would love having him explain that one to the embassy and FBI. He might leave out the part where he was scamming people.

It's more about technique that anything. We have about 12 bait sites in the premium member lounge. This lad traveled after visiting on of these sites. I manage the sites and customise them for Prem. members to help with their baits. I could certainly walk you through it and help in any way. Just a premium member perk.

HAHA! He emailed the wife!!! That's so great. She's really helpful and incredibly well informed for someone who claims she isn't. Well, Davo's wife only cares about one thing.

If you are one of his employee's you can understand how terribly upset
he would be. It might be a good idea for you to meet him on the border.
He will be heading to the town of Manakoro, which is right on the
border. Look I'm not the well informed, so I am sorry I couldn't be much
help. I am leaving in a few hours for my mothers house. If you leave me
your phone number I will pass it to him next time I speak with him and
he should be able to help you out. I just know he brings me diamonds on
