This is a serious Microsoft service, but it's totally crap. If you speak two or more languages decently, try inputting something into it and see what the result is. This must be the most crappy translator service AND the most crappy Microsoft product I have seen till now. Translate and have a laugh

"My name is Sven" in Dutch translates to "i would like to welcome Pete"
"My name is Frank" in Dutch translates to "my name is Frank"

i played around with it - it isn't great...

clearly it is translating one word at a time, which is a bad strategy for a translator.
more exactly, it is mistranslating one word at a time.
bizarrely, it manages to recover some of the original sense by mistranslating twice, once in each direction.
the auto-detect language feature is not very bright either |

French to English translated "I'm very happy to meet you, I hope you'll enjoy your stay in our beautiful city" as "I am pleased to your knowledge. I hope that you you enjoy in our city joy."
Needs some work.... |

To be honest, it does quite a good job on grammar, compared to most translators.... *cough*Systran*cough*
Usually at least the gramma is correct. Not that it makes the sentence any more clear, but still |
