a lad has replied to me 9 times inside the space of 2 minutes.
the messages are very similar - only small changes between them
i cannot think of a logical reason why he would do that.
does he suffer from finger trouble, or is there some other explanation? |

I often receive several mails within a minute or two (or five or ten); sometimes all identical, sometimes identical except for different subject titles, sometimes with various small changes in the body of the mail.
I imagine that the Lad isn't sure his first attempt at sending it actually worked, so he tries again ... and again. And sometimes thinking he has A Better Idea (for a subject, or for a sentence, or for a greeting, or an ending) as he does so, so he changes that before trying to send again.
I never bother to tell him I received the first attempt (and the second, and the twenty-third, and all in-between); it may only be a couple of minutes or five minutes of his time wasted, but I'd rather let him believe he truly has difficulty sending mails and he needs to spend time on this too. Those minutes must add up. |

I don't want to guess the number - But, lad, isn't that the best fun to be had with MoneyGram reference numbers? |

^^^ those minutes add up, and I would hope the multiple [almost] identical emails would alert a potential victim that this is not the professional he claimed to be. |

I would be more apt to blame the lad's crappy internet connection than anything else.
In that region of the world they have a hard enough time keeping their power on, the internet is the least of their worries. |
