I've been lurking on this forum for a few months, just reading and learning, all the while chomping at the bit to get at my first scammer.

So I finally dove in, and here's how it went.... please, any and all input or suggestions welcome.

I am at a loss on how to proceed- if I were to deposit this money in my business account, it would draw attentention from the accountants and financial overseers. If I were to do this transaction in my personal account,- you see, I live in a very small town in Washington state,.... such a large transaction would certainly bring unwanted attention to this deal, which would prevent me from my final goal, which is to do great works with this money in the name of God. My local bank, in my small town, would bring a lot of attention to this deal.

Is it possible that we could do this deal in person? I travel frequently to Hong Kong and sometimes Australia, so stopping on Koala Lampur would not be difficult for me, and would not draw attention to either you or I.

I work for my familly buisiness, an import and export company, which was founded by my father. Before he died, my father (may God rest his soul) intended for ME to run his company. I was placed in a job position by my mother in the company, but to be honest, I don't really do anything. So, that's where it stands now. I intend to send him an email saying that I cannot use my buisiness bank account, since it's overseen by my domineering mother, who runs the company. Now the way I've imagined my character- I'm married to a woman picked by my mother, not a very pretty girl, and she's greedy and spends my money on luxury items, but she implied that if i want my inheritance, I'd better play ball.... which is my motavation for everything- why I can't use a certain bank account, why I'm rebelling against her, she doesn't share my deep religious beliefs... etc. I don't intend on telling him this all at once, but that's the way I'm playing Mr. Mcfl33.
I was thinking- maybe tell him that although I do trust him, I've been misled by others in the past (obviously by people who aren't good Christians like us), how about if I decide how to spend his share that he promised to God.... actually, instead of splitting the money 60/40, why not 40/60? That way, I can be sure that the monies will go to doing God's work.
He has called me twice, but the messages are basically "Hello,please callme back" stuff. Nothing worth posting here. The forms he sent me that I posted, I defaced them with MS Paint.

So first of all- any suggestions? not only on how I'm playing this, but how I'm posting it here as well. I've been assigned a mentor ( he called me his mentee ) Confused

, and I will listen to what he says, but will also take in what everyone else suggests too.

You're playing it fine. Mentioning that you've been misled is great. You've opened that window for a little distrust which can be valuable later on. Lads will use religion to build trust with their victims, so using it back can be just as effective.

You can keep this thread updated, and I could move it to the helps forum? (which is behind a login) If you do get stuck or need some quick advice we can help you move him along.

I agree - this is a great start. Your proposed storyline sounds good - best bet is to reveal these details slowly (let them trickle out) rather than all at once. It's also good to ask questions - the way you asked about the legality of the transaction was very well done. feel free to ask for clarification (as if you're eager but still a tiny bit cautious), but make sure not to question him into a corner (at some point accept his explanations and move on to a different topic).

Looking forward to seeing how it goes.

Si it had been a few days without contact ( I do have a life ya know), so I came up with this excuse, which also furthered my character/story some more.

Mr. H0rd,

Greetings, may God bless you on this day. I'm sorry that I haven't been in contact with you lately- I had to go out of town due to a death in the familly- my Uncle Horace passed away om the 16th, and I had to go to New York to attend his funeral.Like me, he was a man devoted to serving God. I know that he will live eternal life at God's side in Heaven.

Now that I am back home, it's time to turn to other matters.... I'm sorry,but I cannot use my buisiness bank account for our deal- it is monitored by my Mother and her accountants, and SHE WILL TAKE THIS MONEY IF IT IS FOUND. And as I have stated, I live in a small town, and this transaction would not go unnoticed.My Mother has employees who sit on the bank's charter membership, and I'm sure they will report this transaction back to her.
I think I will have to travel to Seattle or Tacoma, which are big cities here in Washington state, where people don't know me, and I can open a private bank account there, or posibly even Canada, between my Mother and my wife, they BOTH would use this money for their own selfish desires, instead of doing God's work, as I intended. Since I know that you are also a man who wants to do God's work, I know that you will also want to make sure that this money is safe, so that we can do God's glorious work.
So I will travel this weekend, and open a new account, and hopefully, we can go foward with this matter by Monday. Praise God!

I have finally discussed with the attorney this afternoon as i told you and he drafted a new letter which you will be sending to the bank today since you will be opening a new account where this fund will be transferred before the fund will be transferred.

The two document (Affidavit and Letter of Administration) will be obatined tomorrow at the high court and it is going to cost us money, both the attorney fees and the documents will be $19,250 dollars.

But the attorney said we will pay upfront payment of $10,000 dollars and then $2,250 for the documents which he will pay at the hight court of justice here in Malaysia to obtain the documents then the balance paid at the conclusion of this deal.

So i have given him the sum of $4,000 dollars to obtain the documents tomorrow and promise him that we will pay the balance of $8,250 dollars tomorrow because he said he will get the money tomorrow before will summit it to the bank.

I do not want any thing that will prevent us from getting this fund.So tomorrow i will pay him another $3,000 dollars.I will like you assist by sending him the sum of $5,000 dollars by tomorrow because the $7,000 dollars i am paying is the last cash i have with me now.I know what we stand to gain in few days and it can not be compared to what we have spent to get this

So I was going to email him the next day, saying that sure- I'll send the money right away, but I don't know how to do that, how do I do it? I figured that I could stall him a day or so while I worked up some fake W.U. MT reciept or something. I was just super happy that I get to do the whole W.U. part that I read everybody else doing here. But I didn't get back to him right away, so this morning, I got a email saying he called my k7 voicemail number- AFTER I SPECIFICALY ASKED HIM NOT TO CALL ME ANYMORE!!!!

Mr. Hord, there is a Bible qoute that I memorized a long time ago- Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
Now I been saying that for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your soul. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a person. But I saw some things this month that made me think twice. Now I'm thinking: it could mean my Mother is the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And you Mr.H0rd, are the shepherd protecting my righteous soul in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that stuff isn't the truth. The truth is I'm the weak. And my Mother and Wife are the tyranny of evil men. But I'm trying, J@m3s. I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

So Please, let's proceed. Should I send you the $19,250 U.S. in a Bank Draft, Cashiers Check, or send it through a Wire Transfer? Or just make my travel arrangements, and bring all the money and do this in person? I can get to Kuala Lampur through my own means- I am a licensed pilot, and have my own plane at my disposal- A Cessna Citation III owned by my familly buisiness... I will tell my wife that I am flying back to New York to take care of My late Uncle Horace's personal affairs.

So that is where we stand- let's proseed with great speed, and accomplish this task. Also, could you get a list of churches and other charities in Kuala Lampur that maybe I can do some donations to - including your methodist church- I would like to make a sizeable donation to them in your name.
