Sounds like he might have been de-educated a bit. Make sure you don't unteach that de-education. There must be some new forms to be filled out in order to get a promotion code. Wink

I would say that this looks more like a scam where he lets you 'see' the money by checking the Western Union reference (but you do need the senders name) and then being required to pay for the promo code and a few other things.

Have you checked to see if the reference number is legit?

My bet would be it's as described above, except that the test question/answer isn't really the one they've sent you. Instead, I reckon the test question is "What is the promo code", and the answer is one that no end of advance fees will ever reveal.

If the MTCN appears real, then let a mod know. That's what I was advised the last time I received one of these.

Please do give your MTCN and details to a mod, that's how eater is funded!

I'll bet it's just another thing to pay a fee for, but do go ahead and ask at your local Westy if they'll give you the cash anyway Wink

Edit: for clarity, no that's not how eater is funded, sheesh!
