Why are some of my characters not getting results?

I've got a merry array of female characters looking for love. But much to my surprise, the more meek and gullible ones are the ones that are endlessly dropped.

I have one character who is very assertive, and another who is, quite frankly, rude and obnoxious, and those two can keep love lads hanging around alright. It is not that they are richer or anything, indeed, one of them is a part-time worker with multitudous dependent offspring, so unlikely to be an automatic payout machine.

This is not what I expected. Any thoughts?

Perhaps lads are simply masochistic and love the abuse. Considering what some of them go through after dealing with us, it makes it pretty easy to believe.

It's very odd isn't it...maybe the challenge of ultimately subduing (and stealing the money of) a "feisty female" is appealing. Very Happy

It's hard to know what goes through the minds of lads, I always wish it was something sharp and pointy or moving faster than the speed of sound,

I can imagaine some lads have been baited so many times they know what an "extra gullible" vic looks like and is, there is no right or wrong amount of gullibility for any lad but I always see that paranoia as a good thing, a real extra gullible vic may be dropped as a suspected baiter.

Simply readjust your charactor slightly to a less compliant one and rebait

I play a sweet character - just whenever I'm getting money together for them something comes up where I absolutely need it.

I'm in bankruptcy trying to keep my very nice house and paying off a very large hospital bill...so I always need money for unexpected things that come up (my fridge is about to get broken).

I slap them over little things & let the big things go...but I never hold a grudge for very long, just tell them things like "you must be having a bad day"...

I am a strong american woman, I don't put up with inequality or sexism. And I don't cyber chat at all - I blush when they try to start.

By nature I'm generally a very soft spoken, sweet person so it's easier for me to play that roll - even though IRL it's very mean to do to what I'm learning to do, even though they are mean people and deserve it. I am learning to say "no" IRL by doing this.

I get a special glee when I know they think I'm sweet and never behind any of the mishaps. Don't know why M7CN doesn't work.

Several other people (drama queen, becky, and more) are meaner to their lads, and manage to keep them coming back for more.

Sometimes I feel if I were meaner and richer, I could move the bait along a little faster and get to things like safari sooner...have them used to getting my way...but I don't mind dragging it out...

I have a safari (I think) in the works - the package should be sent on monday, with him expecting it friday (his "birthday" is saturday). I promised him a special present that he won't forget Twisted Evil

I would love to think that the lads are getting scared of meek and gullible victims.
Thinking automatically "joker". That would make me very happy.

I have found that alot of my lads get bored with someone who is meek.
Every time I try that, they seem to lose interest in me.

However my extremely jealous, aggressive, sexy characters get lots of attention.
It could be a thrill to them or a challenge to get money away from such a dominate mean woman.
They would like to punish her and make her submissive or cry and hurt her.

Whatever their reason I enjoy causing them stress when my character freaks out on them when they think they have her under control. Very Happy

They asked for it so they get it. Of course I never stay mad for long.
I always come back sweet and lovey dovey until my character freaks out again.

Ivana I love how you bait. You always come up with such creative reasons why your having money troubles.
You make me laugh. I loved it when you were only able to eat beans. Laughing

I love to drag out baits too. I love wasting their time and wasting away their resources.

I enjoy playing the wilder characters tho,it makes it more fun for me too.
Long chats can become boring sometimes so I like to spice it up with drama.

If your loosing them by being all meak and sheepish, try going on the attack. Order them around, don't ask for photo's demarned them. When they tell you they haven't got a camara, order them to buy one. how do they expect to find someone nice, If they can't prove who they are, or in some cases what there equipment is like.

You can insult the little buggers as much as you like, and simply end the insult with a Ha ha. That defuses the insult and turns it into a joke..

But if your dropping them by bing nice, you have nothing to loose by being nasty

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and opinions.

I hope it is that the lads are viewing my meeker characters as possible baiters and therefore are also dropping the possibly most vulnerable victims too.

It was also a good point that the agreeable ones might bore them. It is probably difficult for them to think of how to reply to a yes-woman unless they just copy and paste some love letters. At least the more assertive ones give them something to argue about.

So, yes, my more humble characters will have a sudden personality transplant for the new lads. It was just all a surprise to me: my rude and obnoxious character was really just a newbie's experiment to see what would happen. And she has turned out to be the most desirable of all.

^^ As a noobie baiter, these are good things to know. I have a few on hook from 4ppl (thanks for the heads up), I'll keep that idea in mind, though I suspect being fiesty too early cost me a gimp
