This looks like a lot of fun, and I do plan on sticking around! I've had a kick reading about people's experiences. I grabbed one of those stereotypical scam e-mails that normally get filtered into the spam filter, registered myself a Gmail account, and plan on having torturing some lazy brains! I have no qualms about karmatic justice.

I also sneakily placed an order yesterday Cool

and today I received this:

Nothing, I placed an order for about $5,000 of stuff and that is the only contact I've had from them since the original auto-generated email.

... maybe you have 'dealt' with them somewhere before with the email addy you were using...?

Very unlikely that I've baited them before using that addy as I've only used it for one bait so far.

I'm guessing that they've either been so overwhelmed with large orders that they are now getting suspicious.

Either that or they're a bit cleverer than the average lad and the name Fanny Ma1 $mellof-Fi$ch was a bit to much for them.

He appears to be more comfortable with the small orders. I had ordered something for just around $500 on Thursday night. Yesterday I sent an email saying I wanted to add something to the order, but could not access his website. I got two replies this morning, asking if I was still interested and what I wanted to add to the order.

Notice that the #121 is now added to the address. I wonder if that is a dropbox location.

He is using the [email protected] email address. He has this signature attached to his email:

There's an interesting discussion going on about this guy elsewhere, and I've seen a couple "Rip Off Reports" about Top Quality Computer.

I'm feeling fortunate I didn't drop a ton of cash there, but I feel somewhat of a dolt for believing it. It looks like despite his website being shut down, he is trying to proceed with the orders placed.

I am glad we helped take the idiot down. I'm currently giving him a hard time about making payments with MoneyGram... fraudulent credit card use, my ass! Credit cards protect both the seller and the buyer. What a load of BS this guy is blowing out his ass.
