Dear B3l0ved One.

It is by the grace of God that I see today, as I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I never really cared for anyone (not even myself) but my business. Having known the truth; I had no choice than to do what is lawful and just in the sight of God for eternal life and in the sight of man for witness of God & His Mercies and glory upon my life. I am Mrs. xxxxxxx, the wife of Mr. xxxxxxx, I am a citizens of Japan. My husband worked with the Chevron/Texaco in Russia for twenty years before he died in the year 2004.We were married for ten years without a child. My Husband died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Since his death I decided not to re-marry or get a child outside my matrimonial home, When my late husband was alive he deposited the sum of $3,000,000.00 (Three Million United States Dollars with a Bank in Europe.

Presently, this money is still with the Bank and the management just wrote me as the beneficiary that our account has been DORMANT and if I, as the beneficiary of the funds, do not re-activate the account; the funds will be CONFISCATED or I rather issue a letter of authorization to somebody to receive it on my behalf (note that you need to activate this account) as I can not come over. Presently, I'm in a hospital in Russia where I have been undergoing treatment for esophageal cancer. I have since lost my ability to talk and my doctors have told me that I have only a few weeks to live. It is my last wish to see this money distributed to charity organizations anywhere in the World in helping human race. Because relatives and friends have plundered so much of my wealth since my illness, I cannot live with the agony of entrusting this huge responsibility to any of them. Please, I beg you in the name of God to help me Stand-in as the beneficiary and collect the Funds from the Bank. I took this decision because I don't have any child that will inherit this money, and I am not afraid of death since I know where I am going to. I don't need any telephone communication in this regard because of my soundless voice and presence of my husband's relatives around me always. I don't want them to know about this development.

@Domesticgoddess: Welcome to Eater! Good start. I just want to make sure you are sending that from a safe email account, not your personal one. First rule of baiting: bait safe! Read the stickies in the Help & Tips forum, and have fun.

Also, remember that if they don't think they can get any money out of you, they'll drop you like a hot potato and move onto a vic who seems more promising.

Hi domesticgoddess and welcome to Eater!

Don't worry about a little mis-step. We all do and have done them. Just send her an email back saying you made a mistake and you have a plenty of money to do whatever she needs.

Or make something else up.

Worse case, the lad drops you. And then you go to Surplus and you pick up another lad to abuse. Or rebait this same one under a different email addy.

I have lost mine and got them back again many times. It is a learning experience.

This is a common request to your lads. It's fine. He'll just say no. If they ask me to travel I always ask if they will be paying for the ticket. Your lad won't care, he will just correct you. Don't worry you didn't stumble, he'll be back.

That's one modality. She (actually it's a he - trust me) will introduce a lawyer or "barrister", and at some point shortly thereafter the request for money via Western Union will come in. You can insist on flying over there - I actually enjoy doing that. There will of course be a need for you to bring lots of money with you. If you can get them to go meet you at the airport, that's always fun. Of course some complication will have arisen - your plane was diverted to Chad due to engine troubles, or some such thing.

If you read the stickies in the Help & Tips forum, and skim through some of the tutorials in the Eater University forum, you'll get some good ideas on baiting modalities. You can also request a mentor to guide you through your first baits, until you get the hang of it.

One other tip, if you actually make your scammer upset enough they may start to look for more information about you online. Posting things here such as the scammer's name, email address and your baiting address can lead your scammer back here and cause you to lose your bait. This isn't common but has happened. You may want to use initials only or change the names.

Don't confuse intelligence with lack of education or lack of English skills.

Once a lad is sufficiently hooked and then starts suspecting something isn't quite right, he very well might "google" himself and the baiter character. More than one lad has found himself on these forums.

I wouldn't worry about them googling Gwen Stefani, I think I've heard that name a time or two.
