I cross referenced his Money Gram with the name, location and the Fed Ex that he sent me. I can prove that he is the one. I have his name, phone number, Fed Ex location dropoff, mothers address, mothers maiden name, mother place of birth, mothers date of birth, farthers name, you name the rest. I know where he went to school and everything. The internet is so easy. He tried the internet I'll send you extra money and you Money Gram the extra for my shipper scam.

I called the local police, Attorney General office, FBI and the state police. I even contacted the local police in Indianapolis where he lives. they did nothing. None of them have jurisdiction. Since I only got screwed out of $4 for a bounced check, it's not a real crime. Go figure. I'd give his name in a minute if I didn't think I'd get sued. I called his mothers house 3 time demading that she call back. No returned phone call. I know he's local. They are not all from Nigeria. Some are home grown.

You are right that not all of the scammers are from Nigeria. Some are in fact in the US. But the truth is you are as likely to have a victim as you are a scammer.

Many times the shippers in the US are either victims of love scammers who believe their boyfriend/girlfriend is an American citizen who is out of the country and needs them to forward some items or payments, or they are people who have responded to a fake job ad, and think they are distributing (real) payments or packages for an international company that needs a rep here in the US.

In either of these scenarios, scammer (who is not in the US) answers several ads, arranges payment, then sends a batch of fake checks to the US victim, who is given addresses to send them to.

My point is that I caught the guy and he won't call me back. I called him repeatedly. I can show you how to catch them. He only wants the money gram.

If he's not responding to your calls it seems to me he's more clever than you are. Unless you can provide us with more details (as P.F. said) that prove the opposite, it seems to me he's got enough details on you to identify you too.

You probably have a check mule's details, rather than the actual lad. There is a difference, the check mule may not even know they are doing anything illegal (yet).

I ran into a fake cheque scam not too long ago, he gave me alotta of info too. The guy disappeared...Although I wouldn't go telling our nice shielded baiters how to "catch" anything.
