Hi All
My latest lad is currently going thru the A11star 5hipping modality and his consignment has been stopped in Accra Ghana.
I asked for his phone number, and he provided this, twice.
+234-O17-O26-358-793
Too many numbers? Any advice?

Hi Esq!
I really don't know much about Nigeria phone numbers, but I did run it through here: http://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=phonenr
And got this:
Quote: |
Information on phone number range +234 1 XXXXXXX(X)
Number billable as geographic number
Country or destination Nigeria
City or exchange location Lagos
Original network provider* |
So that isn't much help.
I did find this information on Joe Wein's
Quote: |
Scam phone numbers in Nigeria (country code +234):
Fixed line area codes:
* Lagos: +234 1
Nigeria mobile phone prefixes (GSM):
* Econet Wireless Nigeria Ltd: +234 802
* MTN Nigeria Communications Limited: +234 803
* Nigerian Telecommunications Limited (NITEL/M-Tel): +234 804
* Globacom: +234 805 |
I did find this little tidbit:
Quote: |
* 234 - country code for Nigeria
* area code - 1 - 2 digits
* phone number - 5 - 7 digits
* area code + tel. number total 8 digits
Area Codes:
Aba 82 Ile-Ife 36 Okitipupa 59
Abeokuta 39 Iljebu-Ode 37 Ondo 34
Abuja 9 Ilorin 31 Onitsha 46
Ado-Ekiti 30 Jalingo 79 Oshogbo 35
Akure 34 Jos 73 Owo 51
Bauchi 77 Kaduna 62 Oyo 38
Benin 52 Kano 64 Port Harcourt 84
Calabar 87 Katsina 65 Shagamu 37
Enugu 42 Lagos 1 Sokoto 60
Gombe 72 Maiduguri 76 Umuahia 88
Ibadan 2 Makurdi 44 Uyo 85
IIkare 50 Minna 66 Warri 53
Ikeja 1 Ogoja 45 Zaria 69
*Other resources: NCC |
It seems to me the number you have has one too many digits in it. Maybe that first '0'?
I am sure someone much more knowledgeable will be by soon. But I hope that helps in the meantime
Edit for clarity and to fix linky |
