Ask him to explain what the h$ll that is that "secure" thing, you never heard of it. Wink

Then tell him you will investigate it and see what it is.
Complain about the high fee's you have to pay and suggest a bank transfer.

Find a phone pimp to get rid of his concern there, must be his mobile anyway as you have the latest spam filters and some people just don't get through as they have an old or a cheap phone. Twisted Evil

Well I think this is a great sign - he used M7CN secure but didn't think it was bait, otherwise he would have known the baiter was, well, a baiter, and if you gave him m7cn sec, then he would have known you are and just dropped you. So, he thinks its real (but a pain).

Play into that - Tell them that thats the only way you can send the money online. If you need to go to a western union office, its a 2 day drive the the closest one. So, let him sit for 2 days, then when you get back, insist they said the same thing. He really should give it a try, they've fixed up the system so Africa can use it now....

He said that he never mentioned M7CN S3CUR3 to the mugu, so it means the mugu has previously dealt with it and possibly knows its the sign of a baiter.

He doesn't necessarily associate the site with a baiter, he just knows it doesn't work. My opinion is that he thinks it's from a legit victim.
I would string him along a bit longer and then when you make the payment, tell him that WU insisted that you HAVE to use the site but that you flat out refused out of your loyalty to him . . . because you want what's best for him and believe what he says, etc.

Haven't used s3cure for years but always used to tell them it was now mandatory that all WU transactions in the state in which I lived had to go through s3cure. MG would allow you to bypass it but it must be picked up from a secure specified location and there was only one such location in the whole city in which they wanted me to send the money to Twisted Evil

M7CN also does Money Gram - I tell them it's a new law to prevent fraud in my state.

Tell them upfront you have never heard of it - then when he insists on money, and you wait a few days for him to stew, send him the secure form anyway - you don't know what they do, they just told you to do it.

If it was a decent baiter, they left him without him ever realize he was baited.

Or just go the more old fashioned methods and use a WU receipt that doesn't load all the way, or is too fuzzy (bad scan) to use...
