Cowboy Buck's tour of duty with the Trunkbox Army in Iraq

I received the original email in my HotMail catcher account.

I baited this lad from September 11, 2008 to December 11, 2008, a three-month period.

He did not pass me off to the usual "barrister", "diplomat", or "security company".

At one time he wanted me to go from California to Italy and back in one day.

Cast:
Lads:
Sgt. Andrew Smith, American soldier in Iraq, 1st Armored Division (a real outfit)

Baiter:

Subj: URGENT REPLY NEENED!!!!!!!

Good day to you

My name is Sgt. Andrew Smith I am an American soldier, I am serving in
the military of the 1st Armored Division in Iraq. I am now in Kuwait in
the mean time, I and my partner moved funds belonging to Saddam Hussein,
the total is $25,000,000.00 (Twenty Five million US dollars) this money
is being kept safe in a security company. Click on this link to read
about event that took place here
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/2988455.stm

Basically since we are working for the American government we cannot
keep these funds, but we want to transfer and move the funds to you, so
that you can keep it for us in your safe account or an offshore account.
We will divide the total funds in three ways, since we are 3 that is
involved. This means that you will take 30percent, I will take
30percent, and my partner will take 30percent, 10percent will be kept
aside for expenses.

This business is confidential, and it should not be discussed with
anyone. There is no risk involved whatsoever. If you are interested I
will send you the full details, my job is to find a good partner that we
can trust and that will assist us. Can i trust you? When you receive
this letter, kindly send me an e-mail signifying your interest including
your most confidential telephone/fax numbers for quick communication
also your contact details. This business is risk free. Please reply me
via this email:[email protected]

Sgt. Andrew Smith

Subj: RE: Sgt. Andrew Smith - I am interested in your offer

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for acepting my proposal. I discussed with my partner today and
we are
willing to finish this with you. Our motive for contacting you is that
when
the
funds are transferred, we are looking into placing them into
an investment which
will be later revealed to you so that while we are away, you
can also be managing
it for us.

In concluding this business deals, we would like to seek
some info from you. This
will be used to file in application for the release of the
funds to you from where
the are lodged. These
info include the following:

Your full name:
Address:
Country:
Telephone:

The funds right now are somewhere very safe. The process is
simple, we have gotten three contacts in three different countries
namely Italy , Canada
and United Arab Emirates
where the funds can be moved to and on getting there, the funds can be
transferred from there directly to your account.
There is also a special bank contact in this choosen countries that will
acept the funds and place them into the banking system before transfer
can be
done to your account . The bank will also provide legal document to
meet the requirement of any authority that may want to question the
source of
the funds. Hence you are only going
there as a representative and beneficiary of the funds. Hence you must
select from the above listed
countries which one will be most appropriate for you to go to so we can
send
the funds out by diplomatic means to be delivered to whichever country
you will
choose. Please be sure that this is all
legal and you do not need to entertain any fear. We are solidly behind
you and this email can
be kept for reference purpose as we are all involved. Hence I need you
to specify out of these
three countries, which one will be most easily accessible and convinient
for
you to go. This is important please.

Immediately I hear from you, I will proceed to do what is
necessary to keep the ball rolling.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards

Sgt. Andrew Smith.

Dear Sgt. Andrew Smith;

I have some questions about this project.

This project of yours sounds like it could be rewarding for both of us,
and would help both of us to realize our dreams.

I am single and work as the manager of the Sundance Ranch, a cattle ranch
and mining property located in Southern California, 40 miles from the nearest
town of San Bernadino.

Before I send you more of my personal details, could you answer
some questions about this project you propose?

This is a very large sum of money.
How do we move it out of Iraq without the officials noticing?

Sincerely,

William Jones

Subj: RE: I have some questions about this project

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for your email. Sorry for the brief silence as I was out on
official duty. As regards your question, no other official aside from
me and partner has the slightest idea that this parcel containing the
funds exist. I told you in my previous mail that we were only opportuned
to see after the rest has been declared so it is absolutely confirmed
that no one knows about it.

Now in this part of the world, they don't believe so much in putting
money in the banks and that is why Sadam was so foolish to have the that
much funds under his roof in containers. Moreso, they export money like
goods to ther countries instead of using bank to bank transfer. Also
there is a secret service that we have planned to use. There is a
company that delivers precious personal valuables with the help of
Diplomats. Incase you don't know how diplomats work, they are special
people that has immunity. This means that they are given preferential
treatment anywhere they go. We have made arrangments with one who will
meet with you in any country of your choice from the listed countries
with the parcel of funds. The currency security will be covered with
stamps to avoid the scanners at the airport from detecting it. This has
all been planned out since three years now. So don't you worry about
that. We are here and we will make sure that everything goes well.

The countries where we have chosen which include Italy, UAE and Canada
are where we have banks that will acept the funds and make transfers in
small amounts to your account in the US until the entire funds are wired
and then we can start investment.

I sincerely do hope I have answered your questions correctly. Please
email me back to let me know.

Regards

Sgt. Andrew Smith.

Subj: RE: I am sorry but I have some more questions

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for you email. Please be sure that you will in no way get into
trouble with any one neither with your Government except you want to
tell me that doing business is illegal for your Government.

I have assured you that the bank that will be transferring the funds
will act as if we took a loan from them but on the contrary, you and I
know that the loan will never be paid back. Also the bank will provide
valid documents to backup this fact so that incase any authority wants
to question the funds, there will be a document to assure them of the
legality and source of the funds. This will also go a long way to
impede tax because the funds are coming as a loan.

Hence William, you should be sure now that you are not getting into any
trouble with no one. The one who is supposed to be worried is me
because it anything happens then am in. This is why I had this
perfectly planned out.

Please let me know if there is anymore question.

Regards

Sgt. Andrew Smith.

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for your email. Sorry for the brief silence. As regards the tax
constraint, it should not be more than a certain percentage between
10-15%. Also there possibly might not be any tax constraint because the
bank that will transfer the funds to your account in the US will tag the
funds 'loan' and no government taxes loan that much.

If this satisfies your question, please let me know.

Sgt. Andrew Smith.

Subj: RE: I am sorry but I have another question

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for your email. Of course it is legal. Haven stayed in th US
gives me an idea of what is legal or not. The transfer us legal because
its coming from a registered bank. The authority never stops anyone
from booking a loan outside the US and in our case, the funs are going
to be transferred in form of a loan but you and I knpw that the loan
will never be paid back. The will also reduce tax to the lowest level.
So it is absolutely legal.

Please choose from the given countries, Italy, Netherlands and UAE which
will be more convinient for you to go to so that the funds can be moved
right from here to choosen country via diplomatic means to be delivered
to you for onward transfer to your account in the US.

I will be waiting for this please.

William Jones.

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for your email. Just like every other package, the company where
the consignment will be kept temporarily will not steal the consignment
because they do not know the content. Besides that could terminate
their business forever.

The bank is only responsible for transferring the funds into your
account in the US. Banks don't steal money. Moreover, they are charging
5% of the total sum for their services. You could see everything is
planned out and success is guaranteed.

Please let me know.

Dear William Jones.

Thanks for your email. I have mentioned this to you before. Its just
that you don't remember. Its in one of our previous correspondence
where I explained the procedures to you.

As you know the funds are still here with me and what I need to do to
get the funds out of here is to send a diplomat to deliver the funds and
the only place where they can deliver it is Italy. In Italy, we already
have plans with a bank that you will take the funds to and make deposit
into a temporal account. This account will accommodate the funds and
from there, you can make transfers into the state in small amounts to
avoid any red flag until the total funds are transferred.

I understand that you don't have too much time but I can assure you that
the longest time to spend on the whole trip is just 24hrs. If you
arrive there early, on that same day, you can meet with the Diplomat and
take the funds to the bank for deposit. After that, on that same day at
night, you can board a flight back to the states and be expecting the
transfer. So you see that it is almost not noticeable that you travel
led.

Please let me know what you think about this.

Best regards

Sgt. Andrew Smith.

Subj: Here are my contact details you asked for

Dear Sgt. Andrew Smith;

Thank you for your email and the information.

Here are my contact details you asked for:

Name: William Jones
Address: Sundance Ranch, San Bernadino, California 92408, USA
Occupation: Ranch Manager
Telephone: 1-206-202-4242

I am single and work as the manager of the Sundance Ranch, a cattle ranch
and mining property located in Southern California, 40 miles from the nearest
town of San Bernadino.

We have several hundred cattle, and an old gold mine on the ranch property.

My telephone: 1-206-202-4242, is located at the ranch office, and in an
emergency you can leave a message for me at it, if you do so, please state
your full name.

I am usually outside working, so it is hard to contact me by telephone and
email is better, also for confidentiality.

Please let me know what I must do to assist you in this transaction.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Andrew Smith;

I received a telephone message on Friday from someone claiming to be a diplomat,
but the message was garbled and I could not understand it.

It sounded like he gave me a name and phone number but I do not know what they are.

Please email me with the diplomat's name and phone number, if your man did call me.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Andrew Smith;

Why didn't you send me the name I asked for?

I have been contacted by more than one "diplomat", so, for the last time,
what is the name and telephone number of your diplomat.

You are going to have to send me the name, no doubt about it.

Sincerely,

William Jones

only today. I will contact the diplomat and ask them the name of the person
that contacted you.

Thanks and expect my mail soon.

Dear William Jones,

You have not responded to my mail. I am sure he is the one who contacted you.
Mr. Paul Miller. I even saw the airway bill that was sent to you. Please let me
know.

Regards

Andrew Smith.

Who is Arnold?

Subj: As to who contacted me

Dear Sgt. Andrew Smith;

Thank you for your email and the explanation.

As to who contacted me, it was somebody named Joan claiming to represent
diplomats, but the email was confusing.

No one named "Miller" has contacted me.

Who is the "Arnold" that you mention in your previous email?

Also, what is the name of the diplomatic company?

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear William Jones,

Thanks for your email. Mr. Arnold and Miller Paul Miller are in charge. I do
not know why you do not want to tell me the truth. I saw copy of the airway
bill that was sent to you. Is this all a lie? If you do not want to do this
anymore, the best for you to do is let me know rather than tossing me up and
down. The airway bill has your name written on it so how come you have not been
contacted?

If what you said is true, then forward all the emails you have been contacted
with for my review and comments.

Thanks

Andrew Smith.

Also, what is the name of the diplomatic company, and can you send
