Just got back from Cervinia, Italy, where we went for a weeks skiing. All went well, though I did get told off the first night when I accidentaly discovered a TV show called Casino, where a lucky roll of the dice resulted in the hosts beautiful assistant undoing her top and flashing her whatnots! Of course I continued to watch for the cultural diversity and to study the game play, but Hayley didn't think so.

Cerninia is dominated by Mount Cervinio:
It straddles the Swiss border, and from that side it starts to look more familiar, most people know it by its Swiss name, the Matterhorn. Now it looks like the mountain on the Toblerone packet.
Here we skiied at the bottom of the Hornli ridge, on the glacier, below the hut the climbers use as a base. Wiki tells me it has claimed 500 climbers, mainly through rockfalls and sudden storms. One of the only pics of me ever posted on Eater, I think the Soludo clan may struggle to recognise me.

Finally, parking Alpine style, our skis outside one of the mountain huts, where they sold hot chocolate so thick the spoon stood up in it.

Looks like fun. I go skiing here in Scotland (Braehead and Cairngorms), but I've never actually been on a skiing holiday as such. |

Great shots Roy.
Personally, I see no point in going up a mountain just to slap a couple sticks on your feet and glide down at mach 2, but that's just me  |
