I've been waiting for Alan to close this lad's account. He keeps asking:
"Please give us the status of the check payment made to us through you."
I always reply with "it was not as much fun as I thought"
Today he writes (in all caps):
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?PLEASE BE SPECIFIC.....
Which got this reply:
It was not as fun as I thought:
It: (used to represent an inanimate thing understood, previously mentioned, about to be mentioned, or present in the immediate context): It has whitewall tires and red upholstery. You can't tell a book by its cover.
was: to take place; happen; occur:
not: used to express negation, denial, refusal, or prohibition
as: to the same degree, amount, or extent; similarly; equally:
fun: something that provides mirth or amusement:
as: to the same degree, amount, or extent; similarly; equally:
I: the nominative singular pronoun, used by a speaker in referring to himself or herself.
thought: the product of mental activity; that which one thinks |

Interesting to see how he replies. An alternative is you write to him saying
"Which part of 'it is not much fun as I thought' don't you understand?" |
