Those wacky, wonderful folks at PETA have carried their comedy routine to new heights of ridiculousness. You'd think that would be difficult for a long-established act like the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, but they've got a sure winner in their sea kittens campaign.

I, for one, think it's an excellent idea, and one that should be put to wider use. There are many unfairly maligned animals out there that could use cuter names. Snakes, for instance, could be called "scale kittens". Slugs could be "slime kittens". Cockroaches might be "apartment kittens". The possibilities are endless!

Don't forget to check out their Sea Kitten Stories. Just the sort of thing to read to the little folks, if you want them to be traumatized for life.

My kitty-cat gets on the bed with me most nights. She's very considerate, warm (like a living hot water bottle) and doesn't snore.

I have no desire to sleep with the fishes though. Twisted Evil

So I guess PETA are shit out of luck in my house.

I love the fact that on the "sea kitten" homepage is a picture of a little girl holding a <strike>fish</strike> sea kitten out of the water. Surely this is sea kitten torture?

I will point out PETAs website to my real kittens, just as soon as they have finished dismembering the <strike>mouse</strike> hole kitten they are currently ripping to pieces outside my window.

I saw it last night, but I couldn't think of anything clever to say. It was there for about nine hours before the first reply, though.

Still can't think of anything clever to say. The way some minds work is completely a mystery to me, and that group is one of the strangest.

"Sea kittens" - I might refer them to Shakespeare's line regarding roses and smell. To paraphrase: A fish by any other name will smell as fishy.

The first I have seen of this. PETA is a group of retards that use terrorism to advance their ideas. That is not libel as there are direct links between PETA and ALF. PETA can go fuck themselves.

Even though I'm only eighteen, I can barely stand to see another PETA article without going on a rant about hippies and stuff, so I'll leave it at this: PETA members breeding privileges have been officially been revoked. All of the lot must surrender their generals by 0900 tomorrow.

They tried to get me going into my university one day, as I carried a larger than life roast beef sandwich in there with me. They were telling me how wrong eating meat was and that I was hurting the animals and all of this rubbish. These people are useless. I don't throw that word around unless I really mean it too.
