Mr. Tunde Lemo introduces Cowboy Buck to the world of baiting
This was one of my early baits after joining Eater.
I found the original email in the Eater Surplus forum.
I baited this lad from November 28, 2007 to January 22, 2008, a two-month period.
Cast:
Lads:
Tunde Lemo, Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Charles Soludo, You know who he is!
Baiter:
William "Buck" Jones, Cowboy and Ranch Manager
I tried to get him to "invest" in a gold mine but he wouldn't help.
I also wanted him to hold up a sign for me but he wouldn't do that either.
At one point I told him that I was on parole for cattle rustling (stealing),
and got him to fill out a "California Parole Form".
First letter promising the money:
He makes it sound like we were communicating before but we were not.

I would want us to continue the finishing process on how you would get
the funds $5m first.

Dear Mr. Tunde Lemo;
Thank you for your email.
I am enclosing the information which you requested.
Name: William Jones
Address: Sundance Ranch, Bernadino, California
E-mail address : (Cowboy Buck)
Occupation : Cowboy
Telephone: None
I am willing to help you out with the money but I do not have a telephone.
I work on a cattle ranch located in a remote area of California and the nearest
town is 40 miles away.
The ranch has no telephone connection and it is not possible to receive a
cell phone signal there.
I have to come into town to pick up supplies for the ranch.
The local library has computer internet access, which is how I contact you.
Hoping to work with you to complete our business.
Sincerely,

Hello Sir,
Thanks for your immediate reply. You should bear in mind that on arrival
of the diplomats in the united states with the consignment, you would be
asked to meet with them one on one and sign off the consignment.
Of the $5m, your share shall be 30% of the total amount which is $1.5m
for you and that stands for your assistance.
While the rest amount which belong to me, you would help to deposit in
an account possibly with the aid and assistance of the delivery
diplomats to avoid query or suspicions.
In my second email, i shall send you an enclosed attached details which
you shall send to the administrative department of our bank.
Thus, as the would be beneficiary, you shall be asked to pay the sum of
$900 to get an official clearance in your name through the federal high
court and this shall bear your name and address, thus making it official
and legal.
Let me know if you can send this funds to the bank on demand when asked
after.? It is a compulsory payment which must reflect your name and
address as the beneficiary of the funds, which you may send by western
union or money gram.
You shall also be forwarded some documents for you to print out from
your email and you shall sign/append your signature and return back.
Everything must be officially collated.
We do not really have the time to waste as next week, all delivery
diplomats would be despatched.

Hello,
Thanks for your response. Firstly, you need to go to western union to
send money: you ask them to help you fill the form to Nigeria
to Nigeria.
THE NAME OF THE SENDER WOULD ASK FROM YOU AND THAT IS YOUR NAME:
SECONDLY, THE NAME OF THE RECEIVER WOULD BE ASKED FROM YOU AND THE
RECEIVERS NAME IS: ADEBAYO LEVI
STATE OF THE RECEIVER: LAGOS STATE
COUNTRY OF THE RECEIVER: NIGERIA
ZIP: 2301
TELEPHONE:+234 80 340 63 011
YOU WOULD BE ASKED FOR A TEXT QUESTION: AND YOUR QUESTION SHALL BE: JONES
AND YOU WOULD ALSO BE ASKED FOR A ANSWER: AND YOUR ANSWER SHALL BE FRIEND.
YOU WOULD BE ASKED FOR THE TRANSFER AMOUNT AND YOU SHALL STATE: $200
THEN 10 DIGIT NUMBERS WOULD BE GIVEN TO YOU AS THE MONEY TRANSFER
CONTROL NUMBER (MTCN)
THE REASON FOR THE QUESTION AND ANSWER IF FOR SECURITY REASONS. THE
ATTORNEY WOULD BE ASKED THE SAME QUESTION AND ANSWER HERE WHEN THE
ATTORNEY IS TO RECEIVE THE SENT MONEY FROM YOU. IF HE DO NOT ANSWER THEM
AS YOU FILLED THEM UP, THE MONEY CANNOT BE RECEIVED HERE.
SO, AFTER THE MONEY IS SENT, YOU WILL HAVE TO SEND TO ME THE SENDERS
NAME, AND THE MTCN #'S AS WOULD BE GIVEN TO YOU.
On the other side of it, i have already sent to you the Police report
and the death ceritificates. All you need to do is re-download them and
re-attach them and send them to the bank as wanted.
Again, Late Gerald Smith do not have any kid or wife's name known to
anybody. The reason such question was asked was to know if you truly
know what you are doing, that is the use of psychology on human.
LAST PLACE OF RESIDENCE
21, HOPWELL CRESCENT, G.R.A IKEJA, LAGOS STATE
Simply send the attachments with the address as above together. Your
letter was discussed this morning while i urge the department concerned
to give it accelerated hearing and conclusion.
I hope you send the $200 today to avoid rush and to meet up with time.
You still need to let me know what you can help to invest my share of

Subj: Required California form
Dear Mr. Tunde Lemo;
Thank you for your email.
I have to confess something.
I have been a cowboy all my life and have done some pretty bad things.
I am currently on parole for cattle rustling (stealing).
Two years ago, while working on a ranch in Crawford, Texas,
I stole some cattle from the ranch and sold them to a Mexican buyer.
I was caught, sentenced to 1 year in jail, and released on parole.
I went into the Bernadino Western Union office this morning and they told
me that I needed a form filled out by the recipient of the money.
The reason is because I am on parole and the money is going out of the
United States.
A condition of my parole is that I have to report any of my financial dealings
of over $200 to my state parole officer. The state has a required form which
must be filled out by the recipient for me to submit to my parole officer
and to Western Union.
Please fill out the attached form and return it to me.
Sincerely,
William Jones

Hello,
I read and received your email with the attachment included. My mnd

I wonder why you should degrade yourself so low to steal cattles! I

You would have to promise me now that, henceforth, you would be a good
man and person? You would be enriched after we conclude this
transaction which should be enough for you to buy another ranch for
yourself and live a better life thereafter.
And on the other hand, if you prove good, we shall do more of the
transaction and you get good bargain for each. Give me your words.
I have given the attorney the paper to fill which he shall bring to me

I will get the paper scanned and attached to you today and hope you
get that done with the money today to get things rolling.

Subj: Had to work on ranch
Dear Mr. Tunde Lemo;
Thank you for your emails.
I am sorry that I have not replied to your last emails quickly.
I have been trying to raise the money you requested, but I do have to work
on the ranch.
I spent the last two days escorting two mining engineers around the
ranch property.
They are looking at an old gold mine which operated during the 1880's and 1930's.
Our greedy ranch owner thinks he can reopen the mine and make a lot of
money from it because the price of gold has gone way up.
The ranch manager has arranged that I should get a large bonus payment for
assisting the engineers with their assay.
Sincerely,
William Jones |

Dear Mr. Tunde Lemo;
Thank you for your emails.
I am sorry that I have not been in touch with you.
There was a bad dust storm in the area of the ranch today,
and the telephone lines have gone down in several places.
Since we are located around 40 miles from the nearest town,
the telephone company gives us low priority in fixing the lines.
Also, cell phones do not work here because of the surrounding
mountains.
We expect the telephone lines to be fixed next week.
Sincerely,

Hello,
I wonder what is happening, the western gave you a 10digits numbers which is
called MONEY TRANSFER CONTROL NUMBER (MTNC), without these numbers, we cannot
get the funds out of the western and the attorney cannot get concluded.
If you dont want to get this done with us, you should inform us asap. I think
this isnt a deliberate attempt to delay this transaction?
Send the mtcn numbers to get cashed with the western union. Stop all the delays.

There has been a lot happening at the ranch
Dear Mr. Tunde Lemo;
There has been a lot happening at the ranch which is why I have not
been able to reply to your emails.
I was promoted to ranch manager last week with an increase in salary.
I will be partly working in the ranch office and will have access to the
ranch computer.
Many of our cowboys have been town celebrating Christmas and I have had
to make trips into Bernadino to bail them out of jail or bring them back
to the ranch.
I also have been escorting two mining engineers around the ranch property
who are looking at an old gold mine which operated during the 1880's and 1930's.
Our greedy ranch owner thinks he can reopen the mine and make a lot of
money from it because the price of gold has gone way up.
I have been empowered by the ranch owner to arrange some of the financing
for the mine and look for investors.
Do you know anyone in Nigeria who would invest in the mine.
We would be willing to pay a finder's fee to anyone who brings in an investor.
Sincerely,
Sincerely,

Your last emails indicated that you were not.
I have been working hard at the ranch and have more money now,
so I might be able to send the money, but you would have to do a
favor for me.
The ranch owner has asked me to look for investors in a gold mine
which is located on the ranch property.
I have told him I would help out the ranch with our mine project.
Could you have a photograph of yourself or one of your staff holding
the attached "White King" sign.
This would show that I have been actively contacting people.
You will NOT have to invest in the mine,
I only need some evidence that I have made a "sales pitch" to an
"international" investor.
This would really help me out here at the ranch.
