I'm not sure if anyone else had noticed, but the Barbie Diamond Castle is the HOT ITEM that nobody can get. Here's the thing though.. with that, comes fraud.

If you go to www.froogle.com and type in Barbie Diamond Castle Playset
( http://www.google.com/products?q=barbie+diamond+playset&btnG=Search%20Products)

You will see results. One of them is "Eastern Toys" using false advertising to bluff parents into buying their fake playset.

These guys have a lot of f**king nerve to do such things to families. I have a daughter that wants one, and thats how I found this. If my daughter opened her Christmas present and it was that thing.. she would be highly disappointed. Can anyone find a way to report these jerks and save Christmas for the little girls?

Oh goodness....have I EVER noticed "Barbie Diamond Castle" this season.

My kid wants one of those damn things.... Rolling Eyes She can make do with the two doll houses that she already has. She is getting two of the dolls though, and probably the flying horse thing too, instead.

Chinese (mostly Chinese anyway) knockoff shoppes are never short in supply...unfortunately there is always someone looking for an impossible bargain and they see what is supposedly that hot item advertised at a ridiculous price and then fall for it. IF they get ANYTHING, they will get a shoddy knockoff item. I am not the least surprised that there would be targeting of this sort of thing out there--the more demand, the more likely there is to be a scam around it. That's also why electronics scams and auto scams do so well too.

What I would say to families is please, please, please do your research and only buy such products from major vendors. If you see some price somewhere from a place you've never heard of, and the price seems too good to be true, run away!

A knock-off item like you posted is more than an internet scam. It is copyright infringement and the big corporations take that very seriously. If you find a knock off such as the Barbie item, report it to the manufacturer of the real item. In this case it is Mattel.
