Was on holiday in Buenos Aires, with Mrs Doodle, whilst walking under a covered walk way we were covered in bird shit. Luckily several of the passers-by immediately offered help in the form of paper tissues and bottled water to clear up the mess.

SCAM

Classic BA scam. One member of the gang sprays the victims on the back with brown "gunge", then as soon as this is noticed, his accomplice’s arrive and offer paper tissues and water. In the confusion and distracted by the cleaning up process, the victim's wallet/bag/camera is lifted.

We were wise to this old scam, it happens in London, and walked off angry but with our valuables intact.

There was a manifestation of this in Melbourne recently with a woman spilling hot chocolate on her marks and lifting wallets while apologising and cleaning up...
