Gone straight for the jugular and told him he can put the dogs in luxury kennels and I'll pay whatever it costs. And for any other needy animal welfare cases I'll get my colleagues in the Cancer Clinic at St Brats Hosp to set up a little fund.

Also asked him for a consult on a tricky cancer case I'm working on.

I'm off the air until Tuesday. Think my out of office message may amuse him. Catch up then.
