Jail would be a dream for me at this point. The wife just got home and noticed that the bird feeders in the back yard are empty, one would think it was the end of the world.

Apparently the Purple Headed Titmouse, who has survived millions of years without human intervention, will go extinct in the next few minutes because I haven't the common sense to fill a plastic tube with sunflower seeds.

Here's another reason for giving up WoW, the amount of times a member of a group would disappear for about 10 minutes, then come back saying "Mom told me to get off the computer" I never had the teamspeak software so never got to listen to anything like this, Praise Jeebus!

Speaking of WoW I just renewed my subscription. All seven of my lads will wonder where Dill Dow, Midyck Hertz, and Kone Chugger mysteriously disappeared too. The worst part is, I'll probably remember them all in about six weeks.

I can't get into WoW or many of those other games. I know plenty of people who are but I like to play a real RPG where I control real people, lads.

I've even quit playing poker to do this more. Shocked

you only get more hours out of WoW because people who play are addicts, Its like Crack to them.

Trust me I used to be addicted to this game you may know called Diablo 2 exp..

I remember when I would go on vacaitions I would get withdrawl syndrome. Personally I think WoW is a waste of time, money, life.

I swore off computer games after they patched diablo and my name got hacked.

However I will say this.
I have a buddy who plays WoW and builds chars and sells them on ebay for alot of money im talking like 700-1200 bucks.

Well then, its not a matter of blaming the game and calling it a waste of time, but rather a lack of discipline. WoW doesn't cause an addiction, rather its yourself.

nononononono ok The way the make the game is addicting. first of all why would they make it quest and level based? which seems to never end.... once they reach the highest level whats the point then... to complete quests.

total waste of time and money. so is Xbox live for that matter. Ps3 is free...

Ok they have had games where you do quests and levels for a long time. I believe there is an old one that was and is very popular, called dungeons and Dragons. Its a standard staple of the RPG to include a leveling system and quest or missions. Once you hit the max level then you compete against other players in PvP (like I do for the sport of it) or you test your PvE skills in raids. I play WoW because I like the world PvP system. There is no point in completing quests at the max level unless you want money to buy stuff to further enhance your chances of doing the two aforementioned activities.

As for Xbox Live, I totally agree with you which is why I play games on the best machine of all, a PC. I think most members here will concur.

The thing you seem to forget is that we as humans have the ability to control our every action. The mind supercedes all. Video games aren't addicting. You don't HAVE to play a video game. Its your choice to do so. The same goes for alcohol, drugs, watching porn, shopping, overeating and baiting. If you feel that something you voluntarily do is addicting, then it suggests you possess a weak mind and/or are a self-saboteur.
