I tried sending my lad a file that is 2mb (its meant to be a passport but he cant open it cos it dont work) however, it fails because the server only allows messages that are smaller than 1mb...anyone else had this problem before?

Very common.

Which service are you using to send e-mails? For what it's worth, I know that GMail have a 10MB limit so that's worth looking into.

Or you could get a permanent e-mail address where you have no limit, but then again, it wouldn't be wise to use something non-disposable for scambaiting.

im using gmail...its the lads mail server that stops me from sending it to him though cos i get an auto email back saying that the message is too big..

Star beat me to it. Berate the fool for employing such poor services and tell him that you don't need to be wasting your time with such an unprofessional neophyte. You'll see how quickly he sets up another account then. Just make sure that he doesn't switch over to GMail.

how about a 10px x 10px image with a few random dots in it that might have once been an id.

Then blame the lad's viewer software. Should be good for a few exchanges...

The more addresses you can get out of the lad the better. After a reasonable period of time you can bait that other address as well and work them both together. Twisted Evil

also remember http://mys4feimage.com (4=a) which is a baiter tool to never finish a download...guaranteed! Have a play with it (enter 419eaterm3mb3r (3=e) at the front page to get the admin console)

Set parameters so the download is *painfully* slow, and maybe so it stops at 40% or something.

My favorite thing to do as far as IDs go is to send them a picture of an error message or random noise and say that they need to upgrade to Vista to be able to view it (or downgrade to XP if they're using Vista).
