So Scarlett I think gave me this guys e-mail, I can't find the original thread...but I contacted him & said a friend found him on yahoo personals...he didn't buy that for a second and recognized my photo as angelina jolie..

His IP addy is: 83.138.172.72
Which traces back to the UK - he said he was in the Netherlands...

Today we had this conversation (I tried to take out the boring stuff):

[email protected] is real scum, that's why I picked him up from this site -- feel free to bait away - he was found on Yahoo Personals, so someone who has a paid membership send him a e-mail?

I have had a couple to recognize my photo.They next personality I will do will be joe six pack so to say.I have come to realize that they really don't care what you look like or who you are. All they want is they money and will try to get it by any means....

Only if you allow them to take control, the idea is to delay them asking for money for as long as you can. And when they do ask,,change the subject, ignore the request. in that way YOU stay in control , not them.

A favourite side-step, when they ask for money for internet service is,

"yep, no worries, send me the ISP details, and I'll send it Direct Deposit, It's much more secure and quicker that way"

Don't worry about asking for BSB or account details, it won't get that far. They will go on to plan "B" then you can discuse the exchange rates, That's good for a few day's.
But once you let them talk you into sending money, and you reply with
false WU details, the baits all but over. As soon as they twig, there's no money, there off looking for someone else.

ya this guy knew from step 1 that I wasn't who I claimed to be...but he figured I was another scammer...and almost seemed to want to be "friends" if I claimed to be one too...

that thought crossed my mind, but I was too tired to follow though on it...

since he finally did get past that "hi" stage and into actual admittance I posted him on romance scams too...

just hope google picks the post up soon & the next person will be smart enough to google him...

I don't think someone would have to use Yahoo Personals to communicate with this guy. I'm guessing that either he a) really does know Angelina Jolie's face or b) only picks a certain type of woman from websites and your pic didn't fit his profile.

I would imagine that anyone who is a paying member of Yahoo Personals has their own real picture and real info there so probably not a good idea to contact him that way. Unless that person wanted to go in and alter their profile.

I just checked around because I know I've passed an email or two to Scarlett & DramaQueen and that email does ring a bell with me but I can't find it. If you ever want one, just let me know. I seem to draw them like flies at times! Laughing

Oh I'm finding more than enough ... just posted about my 2nd pic trophy...

Just he was handed to me and twigged right off since he didn't know where I came from ... but since he thought I was a scammer he admitted he was...which gave me enough to post on romance scams here...

Hi Ivana, Since he thinks you are a fellow scammer, maybe you can play into it and keep the bait going some other way? See if he wanted to go in on a scam with you? Of course the "victim" will be somebody of your choosing.

I thought about it, but my honey just got out of surgery on monday and I won't have time to bother with mr. lonely right now...
