They say they base their stats around reports they get from victims.
They are legit, the only issue a lot on Eater have with them is that they charge for recovery attempts. Even though their attempts are legit there is a moral question, is it right to extract money from a financially desperate victim on the promise that they might be able to recover. Looking at their site I can't see any stats stating how successful they are in recovering money which makes you wonder. If they fail a victim has lost another few grand and has nthing to show for it. |

Actually, I have several issues with them. Two of them quite major. First and foremost being that they have a serious appearance of conflict of interest, given that they also conduct "Watch a scammer work in his natural environment" tours where they actually tout the "opportunity" to go have a drink with a scammer and sit there and watch him work his victims over on his phone and send out his scam mails at the local web cafe. Or better yet, actually witness a Wash Wash victim being done over in person!

Second, they don't claim to have ever had a successful recovery of even a penny of a victim's money. An apparent zero percent success rate doesn't exactly speak highly of their "services". They're nothing but recovery scammers if they don't deliver. Similarly, I could advertise a service where I attempt to raise your loved one from the dead. It doesn't mean I've ever managed it. |
