A few years ago I woke up one morning to realize that I have been phished when the 270 dollars which was the only amount in my bank account got taken out through westernunion.com I smelled something phishy because a person would have to keep trying my credit card number to know the exact amount in my card so I called westernunion and they said there are thieves in Turkey that have been doing this and they can't refund me the money so I told them I don't need your approval to refund me, I will simply charge it back so I called my bank and western union hated me ever since then and stops me from using their service to send payments online. At the time I was banking with Bank of America and I got a realistic looking email that made me verify some info but that time I did not know any better and responded and that is how they got a hold of my details.

Those thieves got to eat but they will be hungry soon. I simply can't picture myself doing this because I know I would be stealin from a hard working person who only earns 12/hr or less but these thieves are animals and don't know anything about Karma. The more you steal the more miserable you get and the less you realize that what is causing your misery is your own deeds.

I would rather go and hunt and harness my own resources than to steal from someone. It would just make me feel like a total looser.

Yeah, you need to watch out for those. I know they were scams when I first got them back in 2003 because of two things: one it was coming from Africa and my ignorance thought it was impossible to receive emails from Africa. I learned a little later on which countries had computers and which didn't and the one that emailed me (If I remember correctly)was from Uganda. Secondly: if it looks too good to be true then it probably is. I never responded to them only laughed at them. Except for one where I used freedict Russian to screw with a lad and I remember in the subject line it said "CAN'T YOU FIND ANYONE WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH!" and ended right there.
