I'm new to this but I got one with my first email. I haven't tried anything crazy and inventive yet since I'm just feeling my way through this so far. I am actually looking for advice on what to next, see the end of this post for details.
Lad=Red Me=black

Dear: Customer,

This is to inform you that a parcel containing a bank draft valued at $1,000,000.00 USD and other finicial document was given to us to deliver to you by Mrs. Mar$a Al#x and this is the reason we are contacting you and she have already paid for the delivery charges and others all what is left is the security keeping fees of ($267 USD) so you advised to carry on with the payment of the security keeping fees of ($267 USD) so that we can proceed with the delivery immediately when we confirmed your reciept of payment.

Be inform that as when she came to deposit this draft with us she had wanted to pay the security keeping fee along side before she travelled out of the country, but we refused this was because we did not know how soon you where going to contact us and in the case demurrage, so in the light of this you are advise to make the payment of the security keeping fee before we can deliver your parcel to you.

The details on how you are going to remit the security keeping fee will be sent to you on your request.

Await your swift response on this regards,

Warm Regards
Mr. Fr&nk Sol*do
Dispatch Director.

Dear Mr Sal*do:

I received your email regarding a cash package from Nigeria? I
am not sure how you got my information. I do not have any
relatives in Nigeria. Is a bank draft like a cheque? I would like
to know if I can pick this up at Federal Express, as it is right
near my house! Please send more information and any forms I must
sign.
Sincerely
Er@ka L@ngley

Dear: Customer,

I am in receipt of your last email. It is very important that we receive the fee prior to your parcel delivery, as part of the fee will be used to cover the necessary security keeping charges. Also included in the fee is the cost to cover insurance of documents that will be sent to you via our courier Service immediately after your payment is effected.

I will advice that you find a means to come up with this amount as payment of the fee cannot be by passed or compromised. I think you should consider yourself a very lucky person, as such opportunities could come only once in a life time.

If I were in your shoes I will make full use of it by all possible means. If you can not come up with this amount, or do not have the intention to pay this amount, your delivery/claim will be cancelled, and your funds returned back to the depositor.

Do also understand that your bank draft valued at $1,000,000 USD is in an open cheque which can be cashed any where in the world (Any Bank).

Having known our conditions, if you wish to further your claims, kindly get back immediately. Once I receive this, I shall send you complete details of payment for the required fee.

Await your swift response on this regards.

Warm Regards
Mr. Fr@nk $oludo
Dispatch Director.

Dear Mr $oludo:

Hello, how are you?

I am very interested in picking up this money but I am concerned
about it. Is this legal? How do I deposit this draft? Do I put
it in your bank account? What's that bank account number?

What does the security fee do? Is that for customs?
Please let me know what I need to do to make this transaction.

Dear Mr. $0ludo:

Thank you for your email. I am confused though, who is 0mo
Fr@nklyn? Why wouldn't I be sending the payment to you? Is Mr.
Fr@nklyn a Federal Express employee? I can come up with $100 and
could probably send within a few days but I think I need some kind
of proof that Mr. Fr@nklyn actually works for Federal Express.
Otherwise I could just be sending this money to anyone.
Please send me some type of form that officially verifies that you
and/or Mr. Fr@nklyn is an affiliate of Fed Ex and I will happily
send the security fee for my cheque.
Sincerely, Erik@ L@ngley

Your mail was received and understood. In respect of your comment, do understand that Mr. Fr@nklyn 0m0 is a trusted person which is FedEx Nigeria express account officer.

You are to direct the payment to him.

Thanks for your understanding.

I like how at this point he isn't even using greetings or sign offs.

Ok this is starting to seem suspicious to me. I have gotten the
$100 together but I'm afraid I can't send it unless you can give me
some proof that you actually work for Federal Express. It seems
that if you actually do work there that this should not be too
difficult. I thank you for your understanding. This is a lot of
money for me to part with.
Erik@ L@ngley

Ok here's the money shot right here. I love this part.

Attn: Erik@ L@ngley,

Due to the high occurence of internet scams, I completely understand
your skeptism. I wish to make certain issued clear to you. I am a man
and a father of two. My wife will not think twice before divorcing me
if she knows I do anything Fraudulent. I am wholesomely against it
myself. I am a well respected FedEx Courier Nigeria worker for some
year now. It is good thing to know that I have no bad record, this is
the reason while I am still working as the Dispatch Director.

For Authentication, I have send in attach a scanned copy of my Staff
Identity card. You are advised to make the payment in other to avoid
delay in the dispatch of your parcel.

I do employ you to make the payment via WESTER UNION MONEY TRANSFER to
avoid further delay in release of your parcel. Be informed that the
time limit to the release of your parcel is now at this very MINUTE.

Below are the details that you will make the payment via WESTERN UNION:

Receiver's Name: 0m0 Fr@nklyn
Receiver's Location: 203, Airport Road, GRA, Benin City,Edo State, Nigeria.
Installments fee: $100 USD
Text Question: Who is greatest?
Answer: God

Be rest assured that as soon as payment has been made all documents
that declaim you as the sole owner of the parcel will be sent to you
within the stipulated time of delivery.

I Will Await Your Payment In Your Next Email.

Regards,
Mr. Fr@nk S0ludo
Dispatch Director

Here's the picture he sent me:

http://scamwarners.com/main/v.php?id=8961WORKING%20ID.JPG

I'm sorry it didn't embed. I gave up after 20 minutes of trying to get it to do so. I particularly enjoy a few things about this picture. First, how blurry he is in the picture. Second, how it is labeled "FedEx Express". Third, how I am supposed to believe it is official because it says "Official". I could go on and on.

So I got another email from him today:

Greetings to you. This office is still awaiting your payment for the
delivery of your parcel to your home address on time.

I am thinking of first telling him that I sent it but transposing the numbers. Then maybe telling him that his friend "Mr. Fr@nklyn" emailed me and said he received my $100 so where is my damn cheque? Does this seem like an appropriate way to proceed?

d.a.

A few tips/pointers:

You might want to move this to the hints and tips forum--there are several more experienced baiters who monitor that forum and are happy to advise.

Also realize that this forum isn't hidden behind a login. If your lad googles your baiting character name, he may find it here. If you don't want to risk a bait in progress, it is best to m@sk the n@m3s that might be searched.

You also want to mark that "ID" with the word "Fake" or "used by Scammers" or something like that. This is to keep another scammer from coming along and finding a nifty new ID to recycle.

As for WU, you might be moving a bit fast. If you pretend you sent and give an MTCN number now, you will probably quickly run out of options/excuses to keep your bait going. Check out the brand new Eater course on stalling payment for some early delay tactics:

http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=150757

And don't forget about MTCN S3cur3, which is another option.

Since your lad is very likely playing both characters himself, you won't get too far with claiming the other character received the money. (You can set up other emails for a more complex dollar chop, but I would start a little more simple) You might be able to constantly find fault with the other character, and demand he be removed from the deal...

Thanks for your reply. I definitely did not remember that this forum was not behind a login and I am now going to edit my post and mask the names. Hopefully it isn't too late.

I appreciate the advice. I didn't post this in "hints..." category because I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to majorly detail your whole bait. I will ask for advice there too though.

Hi Dedos, (any relation to "Barba Azul" I wonder?)

Firstly, welcome and well done mate. You seem to be off to a flying start, with a nice little trophy on your first attempt.

As you can see, this game of ours has quite a steep learning curve, but don't worry, there are lots of people here who will do their best to help you.

Personally I agree with Dorothy, this guy is just begging to spend hours clicking boxes, if you are unfamiliar with the modality, you can find out all about it here.

I've used it quite a few times now and it works really well. The lazy lad will probably try to get out of it, but don't stand for any nonsense.

Good luck, and well done again Wink

Good job so far, as I'm still in the early stages myself. However, those fake ID's are not really trophy's per say as they are completely fake pictures/names/ids. If you got him to dress up as a FedEx man and hold some stupid sign, that would be pretty nice!

Keep up the good work!

I've gotten quite a few of those already, sometimes without even asking.

Ok so this is ongoing. I followed the sage advice of several members of this forum and sent my lad to the MTCN generator. Here's where we are now:

black=me red=lad

Greetings to you Mr. $olud0

I thank you for the authentication. I wanted to get to the
Western Union but my son has been very sick with pneumonia and I
had to go to the hospital this weekend. I had to spend some of the
money I was going to send you. I think I should have the money to
send to Mr. Om0 by Friday. Please don't send my cheque to someone
else!! Or is the cheque made out specifically to me?
Apologies,
Erik@ L@ngley

Dear: Erik@ L@ngl*y

Greetings to you. How are you and your family, especiately your sick child? How all is well now. This is to reind you that tommorow is friday which you are to make the payment for the security keeping fee, to enable the delivery of your parcel on time.

Thanks for your understanding.

Best Regard,
Mr. Fr@nk S0lud0

Hello Mr. S0lud0

Thank you for your inquiry. I am happy to report that my son is
feeling much better thanks to antibiotics. He'll even be able to
go out for Halloween. Do you celebrate Halloween in Nigeria?
I am on my way right now to send the money to Mr. Fr@nklyn. I will
let you know how to pick up afterwards. I have never sent money
via Western Union before so I'm not exactly sure how it works.

Erik@ L@ngley

Hello Mr S0lud0:

I have sent the $100 to Mr. Fr@nklyn via Western Union. The
woman at the office said that since there is such a high number of
frauds originating in Nigeria that they send the MTCN number
through a secure site rather than giving it to me directly to give
to you. This is the email I received from them. I guess you have
to go input the id below and it will give you the number for
pickup. Please let me know when to expect my cheque.
Erik@

This was followed by the email from the MTCN site. He went to it and clicked 27 times before getting irritated with me.

Mr.Dear : Erik@ L@ngley,

This is inform you that your payment alart mail is been received here.
I am sorry to inform you that your payment has not been confirmed and
as such you are hereby advised to go back to the Western Union outlet
and ask the officer to issue you with the MTCN- 10 digit numbers and
send via email to me for easy collection.

Do undersand that it is very difficult to follow their MTCN procedure
with the email and link that was given to you. I will like to inform
you that with that uncalled for process, which is not usefull, because
if a western union payment is been made, immediately there you will be
issued the MTCN (10 digit number) there, which you are to send to the
receiver. Why this difficult and uncalled for process? If they do not
issue you with the MTCN, kindly locate Money Gram Outlet and make the
payment there with the same process (Name given to you).

I will be awaiting to receive the MTCN number immediately, to proceed
with the deliver of your cheque on time. Do keep this transaction
personal/confidential, because the western union officer may be
jealous that you want to be a rich person. In your next mail, kindly
send to me your PHONE NUMBER also for a better communication.
Minewhile go and get the MTCN from the oficer.

Best Regard,
Fr@nk $oludo.

LOL...oh, it was hard for the poor lad to click 27 boxes? I wish he had clicked more!

Dear Mr. $olud0:

I am sorry for any inconvenience I have caused you or Mr.
Fr@nklyn. I am just following the instructions of the Western
Union office. I will take my receipt back to the Western Union
office and see if they can give me the MTCN number directly. Oh,
and my phone number is 2#6-3*9-01$3.
Erik@

This is of course a number I got through k7.

Dear: Erik@ L@ngley,

Greetings to you. This is to bring to your notice that you have to
make sure that this payment is been confirmed on time for the delivery
of your parcel to your home without any further delay.

In respect of the paid fee via western union, you are to provide the
MTCN on time from the officer incharge or you can also send to me a
scanned copy of the payment slip where the MTCN is avalaible. if there
is any problem from the western union services or they are trying to
lie or confuse you, kindly ask them to provide

you with your money back and make the payment via MONEY GRAM and send
to me the payment information.

I will be awaiting to hear from you immediately and urgently.

Best Regard,
Mr. Fr$nk $olud0.

At this point I decided to start pulling out the emotional stops.

Mr. $olud0:

I'm afraid we have a problem. I went back to the Western Union
office and told them that you had trouble accessing the MTCN number
and could they please just give me one to email to you. She told
me that for several countries in Western Africa that they are not
able to give a number to the sender, but must have the receiver get
the number online. (This is apparently a new policy.) After many
tears on my part she refused to give my money back since it had
already been sent. I am unable to send it through money gram. She
suggested you try the secure site again and perhaps it will not be
as busy and bogged down this time.
Thanks for your understanding,
Erik@

Dear: Erik@ L@ngley,

Greetings to you. I am sorry to inform you also that the process is too difficult and as such there is no way I can get the MTCN online without taking me more than 4hours of sitting with my computer to do a work that is suppose to have be done my the Western Union officer. If you think I am not telling you the truth, I will advise you to do it your self by using the link and code given to you via email, which you sent to me.

I think they are taking advantage of you, because you have not done western union transaction before. I advise you to go back to them and ask them to return your money back to you and pay via MONEY GRAM. I am very sure that you know that the delay in our transaction is by you now? Do not tell them that you want to make the payment in MONEY GRAM, intead just dont tell them any thing. Just ask the officer to give you your money back, it is done, dont be afraid. It is your money, you know what to do with your money. Dont be friendly with them, they are bad, why will they delay in rendering services to there customers?

Do understand that we receive western union and money gram payment from over the world and as such there is no such policies. MTCN is been issued to customers on the point of payment for receiver to be able to pick it up.. Are you not the owner of your money?

Follow all my instructions and do as I have advised.

Best Regard,
Mr. Fr@nk $olud0

They're taking advantage of me?? It takes one to know one I guess!
Mr $olud0:

I have been crying for the last two hours. I have been back to
Western Union twice, and spoken to the manager on duty each time.
I have literally begged them to give me back my $100 so I can go to
Money Gram but they said they cannot return it to me because it has
already been sent to your location in Nigeria. So, the money is
there, apparently you are unable to get it, and I am unable to get
it back. Under the circumstances I am certainly unwilling to send
any more money since it is so hard for you to pick up my money. I
don't know what else to do.
Erik@ L@ngley

Like that? Smile

Dear: Erik@ L@ngley

Thanks for your mail. I really understand your situation. But try to
understand that the fault is not from my side, instead yours. I will
advise you to tell the officer incharge to give you the MTCN number or
you have to make another payment by MONEY GRAM this time for the
delivery of your parcel containing your cheque valued at 1,000,000
USD. You have to get something clear that I work with instructions and
laid down rules.

Call me immdiately with this phone number for better communication and
discussion.

Phone Number: +23%8062&*0#@10

I will be awaiting your call.

Mr. Fr@nk $olud0.

Mr. $olud0:

I never said that this is your fault. Western Union is the one
who won't give me back my money, not you. I have no more money to
send through Money Gram and I certainly cannot afford to call
Nigeria.
Erik@ L@ngley

Greetings to you. Do go back to the Western Union officer and ask her
for the MTCN number. Without this code, there is no way I can pickup
the said money for delivery of your cheque.

Get back immediately.

He's clearly getting aggravated, which is entertaining. I'm figuring I'll let him chill for a few days, and now I'm off to the "hints" area to figure out what to do next. Laughing

Your lad needs to fill in a form made by "M4rvin4tor" (If you cannot get it from his sig, then pm me with your baiting address and I will send it to you.) Its called "Non receipt wu" and is exactly what your lad needs to fill in so that your money can be reclaimed and then sent via money gram.
