Hi, I'm new here and I got interested in these scammers because my sister who is 63, widowed and retired handed a guy $200. I didn't know this at the time but she finally told me. She is the perfect bait- lonely and looking for a long-term relationship.
She has a profile on EquallyMatched.com.
She's not too computer savy but I did get her to give me their IP's and low and behold they were all in Nigeria.
One guy sent her a picture of the $15 million treasure he has but needs to have it shipped to the USA...LOL
So, I'm out here to help if I can.
Right now I'm reading as much as I can in the forum but thought I'd stop in to say Hi.

Welcome here, another sad story to fire our work, sorry to hear it.
Most important thing, work safe, not traceable addy with Hushmail/fastmail or Gmail will keep your IP# hidden, you seems to know some already so the next step is catching a lad for your personal pleasure Smile

No RL info and no ITP involved. (Real Life-Innocent Third Party) and away you go, you run the game and they do the work.

Wecome to eater "skeeter" Sorry to hear about your sister, still it could have been a lot worse $2000 or $20.000 But it does leave a nasty taste in your mouth, none the less.

All I can suggest you do is read, read, read, thn read some more. Sign up for a mentor, set up a "safe" e-mail account gmail, fastmail, make up a charature, and get some retrebution by trying a few baits..

unfortunately your sisters money is gone, I would suggest she sever all ties with the scammer, and have nothing further to do with him,, add his e-mail to her "blocked " sender list. Outlook express, messages, block sender. And move on..

Thank you for the warm welcome and the advice. Funny thing is, after she sent him the $200 by Western Union he wanted more to get him through the weekend as his boss got hit in the head and died suddenly leaving him with no money. She tried to send him more but it wouldn't go through...THEN she told me about the whole ordeal and I hit the ceiling...LOL
I have some Gmail accounts so I'm ready there.

Hope she has stayed away from him now.
He will continue to bother her since she has paid him. Keep a close look out for her. He will try to tempt her back. Evil or Very Mad
