Having multiple wives looks not a problem however.

Also you can speed up the process if you help them, and carefully attach all requested documents, like application.jpg.exe

This sounds like great fun.

You can slow them up by creating a blank file in your text editor and save it with a .zip extension that won't extract. You just tell them your mail provider does this automatically when you send an attachment, and there's nothing you can do about it.

You could demand to know who else is attending the conference as there are a few people you'd rather not bump in to. This gives you the opportunity to start slagging each other off and ask about changing rooms. Plus, what about wheelchair/disabled access? and what are the fire safety measures like? I hope this hotel can cater for those on strict diets or with wacky eating habits.

Excellent Mr Program Overseer is still replying to us. But... I am confused my group surely cant leave the conference and travel back to our hotel each day for lunch - what sort of mickey mouse set up is this - surely the conference will provide lunch?

However I still havent secured the conference programme - damn I want to book our flights tomorrow Evil or Very Mad

I can only hope that their inability to give clear answers to questions will frustrate and disgust real vics to the point that they just give up on the whole thing.

I also hope that the lack of a proper website for either hotel raises a flag in the minds of potential victims. And that potential victims know how to use Google. A search on any one of a number of phrases reveals several scam reports. This is not the first "conference" these scammers have "scheduled" in Calgary. The latest one I found was supposed to be in September.

The only OBE I ever knew was a Kiwi in an ex colonial backwater (now a commonwealth backwater) I live in who did the soil surveys in the 1950s. A great guy, drank rum and smoked filterless cigarettes until his last day. Was generous and humble. He never mentioned it t me, but it was well known.

I hope my vegan Jamaicans can be accommodated.

They like to ignore me for several days at a time. Then I start e-mailing them with hysterical concern as to what I'm not getting responses, and how I'm going to have to go elsewhere for my conferencing needs. that generally gets them to reply again, but they keep starting over with the "please fill out these forms" script.

Love the address for the Qu**nb**y. Nice quiet area with lots of big trees. Used to park the van around the corner from the hotel with GF's when I was working in town. There is a hotel across the street though. One of those suites places.

I still havent had the 10 day programme which is a shame as its holding up us confirming our booking - I just want to see seminars on a daily basis- there shouldnt be any further questions then and we can go ahead and book Laughing

They were pretty quick to offer me a bank account option (already reported to Alan); that might be something to chase. I only had to repeatedly offer them alternate forms of payment (including over $15,000 in $20 traveller's checks - why wouldn't they love that?) before they gave up. Note that I still have submitted no forms or anything to them - I think they've lost track of who's done what. Hee.

Once again, the slightest threat of going elsewhere for my conference needs had them update the information that I did (not) send them and forward me information regarding my reservations at the hotel, and my immigration forms for getting into Canada.
