Hello all. Have spent the last few days reading some of the hilarious scambaits on 419eater. Brilliant stuff!

I've set up a dedicated gmail account, and have started putting T0mmy Nad5ack's details around......

Just wanted to say hello, love the site, and will come to the forum for advice once this Mugu has been targeted!!

If you are using that name to bait with, you may want to ask a mod to change your user name here. While G00gle is your friends, it can also be a lad's buddy as well. (And they seem to be getting smarter at using it.)

Thanks to all for welcoming me! I feel right at home!!

And good news!! Opened my email this morning to find an email from a poor 18 year old girl who's father was killed on 9/11 and who mother died of a stroke a few months later!! Poor girl.

But, as luck would have it, her dad amassed a fortune of $10.3m, and, even more luckily, her dad's business partner was also called T0mmy N4ds4ck, and I can help her release this fortune!! Can you belive it???

I await my mentor so I can embark on my first scambait.......

You have a wonderful opportunity here! Depending on the age of the character you are playing, you could become interested in the girl herself, either as a love interest or with a view to adopting her. Either way, it is an excuse to continuing a correspondence with her, even as you are sending (failed, of course) WU, MG, and bank transfers to her bankers and barristers. That way you can complain to her about their incompetence, even to the point of requesting that she fire them.

This, of course, takes time and patience. Wink

"Bankers and Barristers" - hmmm. Might be an interesting title for a book on 419 scams.

My scammer has been successfully baited! (And is even calling my Uncle T0mmy!!)

"She" has now asked me for my address, phone number, and email address (???)

Now I have read through the tips, and have picked up how to get out of telephone calls by telling my guy that I'm deaf. However, what postal address should I give? Naturally, I don't want to use my real address!

Use these details if you like. It's one of my 10 sets I spent a short time compiling some time back. Alter the name or anything you like, but the banking details are in the correct format. I chose lower division soccer teams as inspiration and it's never been queried.

The phone number is an ITP (me Very Happy

) and it's usually on answerphone with an upper class message telling Mr G0mer I have made the first payment and asking him to confirm by e-mail to me (which your Lad will take as you) if he wants the second instalment to go to the same bank. Feel free to use it. From time to time I change the message or use if for other baits and I pick up, but then if there's confusion, he got the wrong number.

It's a combined Dollar Chop and request for a bank account from a Lad combined.

We have answers to everything and shiny tools to make any enthusiastic baiter drool with pleasure. Very Happy

First of all, ignore the initial requests for information. Just simply forget to say anything about it. If the lad insists, there are several ways you can go with this.

1 - The easiest is fakenamegenerator.com. It will give you a name, address, phone number, CC number, bank, and bank account number that are all fake. You can disregard what you don't need and use the rest.

2 - If you have a city in mind for your character, think up a street name that doesn't exist in that city and use that. If the lad googles it and complains (not likely, but possible), just say that he must have spelled it wrong or that it is a new street not yet on the maps.

3 - Use a street that exists but use a number that is not on that street. For example, if Main Street in that town only goes to 4-digit numbers, your address might be 58056 Main Street.

There are probably other ways around this, but those are the simplest. And we like to do things simply (for the most part). Wink
