While I was on my gmail account I noticed a lad was online, I haven't emailed him in months.. unfortunately this isn't a full blown bait.

After that he stopped replying, he hasn't blocked me though.
At least it caused him a few minutes of confusion.

what would happen if mr gomer contacted you directly, and instructed you to give him your lads information, and that for a small fee, he would insure that you recived your funds from your lad, one way or another??? he might become more chatty if he thought mr gomer was taking a personal intrest in him.
